exciting this weekend. hmmm? me may go fishing with hubby and get one of my bears done. Not very exciting but I a bit of a home body.
How about you? When is the wedding Aleta?
hugs kassie
I have to go let my dog out - I will be back. If I blink out it is my internet and will try to get back on. It has been doing that lately.
hugs kassie
ACK--I missed all the fun again!
Like Heather, I'm trying to finish up my new website. It's got to be ready by the time the new TB&F hits subscribers' mailboxes.
So I spent the whole day figuring out my designer daughter's html and css and finishing up some new critters for their photoshoot.
I was only sub-productive, but my mind was elsewhere. Dana the Jack Russell was at the vet's for surgery, and my youngest took off for a weekend in Boston--her first solo trip. Both are ok--maybe now I can concentrate!
Except that Bear smells raccoons in the garden, and won't stop howling!
Lincoln City is fun and it's a beautiful place.....even if it rains. I love the ocean. I love walking on the beach. It's peaceful. It helps clear my head. I like looking for seashells and bottle glass.
Hugs,

Hi Eileen,
We're still here!! So glad you joined in. Just a late night chat with the TT girls. Not a scheduled Fuzzy Slipper night. We still have yet to decide on a date for that. Soon hopefully!
Kassie,
The wedding is August 19th. Only two weeks away!! So far, so good. We have everything lined up but the golf cart to carry guests up and down the driveway to their cars. It's rather steep, so it could be a problem if we have high temperatures. I just hope no one falls off the golf cart!!
Hugs,
Aleta
Html....css? Wha....Huh? Computer ding-a-ling here.
Dana....surgery?
First solo weekend in Boston? Egad!! That's almost more scary than the dog surgery!
Hugs,
Aleta
Hi Eileen - you sound like you have been very busy. I need to get my site fished too. I just have not had the time.
Aleta - you do that too? I love collecting shells and things. I have them everywhere in my house. it sounds wonderful. I have been to the coast here four times and just loved it.
The wedding sounds like it is going to be wonderful. I bet you are excited, I am sure it has been a lot of work, but it will be so wonderful when the time comes.
fall off the golf cart -
hugs kassie
ya dido Aleta - I was just going to say kinda the same thing. I am glad she had a good trip though. And wish you puppy well hon.
hugs kassie
We're serving champagne, wine and beer so someone will either fall off the golf cart or fall into the pool. I think it's an even bet at this point.
We have, however, requested men in tuxedo's not be thrown into the pool. Apparently it ruins the tuxedo and the rental place frowns on that. Party poopers!
Hugs,
Aleta
Oh! Oh! We're up to 12 guests online now!! We see you!!
Hugs,
Aleta
P.S. Louise? Are you out there with your glass of Merlot?
I just wanted to share that in my new order from Intercal, I got a small pink mohair from one of the coupons. I have no idea what I am going to make that will be pink. But it is really beautiful. I was just looking at your bear Aleta in the little show case windows. There are so lovely. Is that like a pink color or more a peach?
hugs kassie
Oh! Oh! We're up to 12 guests online now!! We see you!!
ya - peek a boo! -
It's actually called Beige!! Can you believe it?! I've ordered it twice and both times it's had a peachy/pink cast to it. My camera really clues in on the peachy/pink color. It's really very subtle though. It's actually one of my favorite colors now. It's the 370S/C quality which is on special this week. Bonus!!
Hugs,

too funny!
tuxedo's not be thrown into the pool
I would love to be a fly on the wall watch all the excitment. too funny. Men are always a blast at weddings. I have seen some pretty funny things go on at weddings. "Party poopers" - for sure. Get it on camera Aleta. You could be the next 10 thousand dollar winner in america's funnest.
hugs kassie
I really like it. I would not have thought Beige. It is really pretty. I just got my order off white and black, dense curly 1"+. It is just beautiful mohair. I can't wait to get started with it, but I have to be a good girl and get the ones I have already started done.
hugs kassie
Oh, it's sure to be a good time. The nicest thing of all is that I really do like my son-in-law and his family. My daughter couldn't have picked a better guy. I'm so proud of her.
Okay then. We've started the weepy works so I think it's time for me to toddle off to bed. Bill has fallen asleep watching T.V. Walker and Gracie are in their beds and Max is sound asleep on the fuzzy mat next to the computer. All signs point towards....goodnight.
Warmest, sleepiest hugs,
Aleta
P.S. It must have been that late night swim.
Aleta dear heart - I have to say good night - it is going to be a yearly morning for me tomorrow.
hugs dear heart and I will talk to you soon.
I will tell Renae you send your love when I talk to her tomorrow.
hugs kassie
too funny me too - hugs hon and have a good night.
you daughter sounds very wonderful - but that is not a surprise she has you for a Mom. I happy for her and her new husband to be.
hugs kassie
Okay, one more reply.
1 inch, dense. Yikes. The longer dense qualities do take extra work....ie. a second stitching, harder to pull the hair from the seams even after trimming them beforehand.....not to mention it's altogether a larger bear being worked on. You have fun with that, sweet Kassie.
Warmest hugs,
Aleta
Good night, sweet dreams . . . I'm still up and working on the danged webthingy.
Aleta, you must be feeling exhausted--we've got two weddings down and one to go--but it's going to be GREAT!!
The most important consideration is the son-in-law, of course! Agree absolutely. Everything else is gravy.
Champagne and golf carts? Hmmmmm . . .
Daughter Alexandra saved up for a weekend at the Park Plaza in Boston--special deal, too. Her sister and brother-in-law are there, and picked her up at Logan, but she wanted to be on her own as much as possible. She's got OCD, so this is partly 'exposure therapy', and it sounds as if she got through it very well so far.
Her Dad was so relieved when she called from the airport to say she'd arrived in one piece that he nearly split his head in two grinning!!
LIttle Dana the Jack Russell is just a mite overweight, which has something to do with those fatty tumors, but they seem to be common in terriers (?). The vet calls her 'My Little Porker'
We've tried special diets etc., but she's finally begun to lose weight only since we got Bear the Border Collie--he needs tons of exercise, and she's right there with him. Before Bear, she kept pace with elderly Lucy and me. (I'm NOT going to say elderly me, hear?) Now, actually, we're all keeping pace with Bear!
Well...while you sweeties were up chatting I was all snuggled under the covers dreaming sweet nothings....okay I was probably snoring!!!
Shantell,
Silly you.....sleeping, er....snoring.
What's everyone up to today? It looks to be a grand day already with TITA nominations for at least two TT gals. For me, it looks like another day digging in the dirt planting flowers and shrubs. Actually, I can't think of anything nicer on such a beautiful day.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!!
Warmest bear hugs,
Aleta
Sounds like all you sweeties had a good time! Everybody have a good weekend!
Awe!!!! Hmmmmm!!! I missed it!!! How are sweetie? I cannot believe I missed a fuzzy slipper night!!! Crying here........
Hugs Louise
Good morning all!
It is a wet Sunday morning here so not very nice. A good day though to catch up inside chores.
I am going to do some ironing.
Glad that you had some fun chatting last night.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs
Carolyn
