Hi everyone.

bear_wub Everyone's teddy bears ars sooooo cool. bear_thumb
I am new in the world of teddy bear making and I am still to try and make my very first bear, but there is one small problem.  I have just moved to Cape Town and I don't know my way around yet.  Is there anyone who can tell me where to buy supplies and other teddy goodies?

I collect teddys and I have over 80 of the furry little friend but I have always bought them and never actually tried making my own and I skeem you are never truly a collector if you haven't made a few of your own.

Must run, Have a beary good day.

Michelle.

Hi Michelle! Welcome Hon! I know that all of us have our favorites as far as supplies but Intercal the wonderful people who have set this forum up for us truly have the best prices and selection in my opinion.

They have wonderful fast service and the product is always outstanding! I highly recommend them as a first stop shop.

I think it is very difficult to find suppliers in your home town. We live very near to a large major city in Canada and I still shop via the internet.

Hugs Louise

Can anyone tell me how they started making their first bears.
Any problems and tips.

And how do you stop your bears from becoming dirty standing on a shelf or in a class cabinet.
I only recently started packing out all my bears from the move to Cape town and some of them are dirty.  How can i was them without ruining them.

I was great fun rediscovering all of them again.

chat to you's later. bear_whistle

Hi Michelle, Welcome to TeddyTalk

I actually purchase everything.....EVERYTHING.....off the web.....

Intercal
Crs Crafts
Fabric.com
HomeSew
Sunshine Crafts

somewhere in the library we have a list of places everyone likes.....Also some of our members in the mini section have shops and sell things specifically for mini type bears.....

No need to spend time driving around when you could be sewing.....

Welcome Michelle.  I agree, the internet is the way to shop.  Just plan on being online for quite a while.

Hi Michelle!
Intercal has great deals in their "specials".  Mini bear fabrics from Sassy Bear (in vendor section) are very very nice.   Have fun with it..it IS addictive!! bear_grin
