Welcome Michelle! Hope you have fun here!

In regards to cleaning bears, I think using a slightly damp cloth with tepid water is best for cleaning the fur on bears who have collected a bit of dust!

Hi Michelle,

Gemma is right!
Of course storing/displaying your bears in a closed display case where dust can't get in is best but what good is a bear on a shelf in a case? They are made for hugging!!!

I have to confess.... every two months or so I put a little attachment on the end of the hose of my vacuum cleaner and suck the dust off those bears!! Being careful of bows and accessories, of course! They don't seem to mind it much and it's quick and easy. For soils water and a mild detergent are best on mohair!!

Can't wait to chat with you more here on TT..... sometimes it takes us a while to get to know and recognize the new folks as we just keep growing in numbers so keep posting!!!

Hugs,
Daphne

Welcome to Teddy Talk.  I don't really have advice on how to get started, you just jump in there and go.  You will need advice on how to get stopped, because it is addictive.  But we obviously don't follow advice, since we are still going strong around here.
