For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
I have a lot of work to do in the next couple of weeks as Hugglets 'Teddies 2006' show in Kensington, London is looming!
I have a trio of bears ready so thought I'd share!
Introducing:
'TEDDY' a sturdy 19" classic teddy bear with growler, made in Schulte 1" rust with brown tip. (He may yet have his nose waxed!) ... You may have seen this guy in the challenge gallery already as I made him especially for the 'completely classic' challenge. He's a totally new design, celebrating the general flavour of 50's/60's English teds.
'PEARL' a pretty 17" panda bear created in Intercal's lovely 370s/c sky blue mohair, with buttercup contrast. This bear has my hand painted sparkly eyes in blues and greens and wears a lovely creamy coloured chiffon ribbon.
'TIN TIN' a cute 15" bear, made from Intercal's gorgeous ALP7/S in ivory with dark backing. He has soft shading on his wool felt paw pads to complement his fur and is finished with a dark brown satin ribbon ... I've worked with a creams and browns theme on this bear in readinness for Autumn!
Paula, they are FAB!!! I especially love the first one.
So, I will actually get to see your wonderful bears 'in the fur'?!!!! I probably saw you in February but as I didn't know you then, I probably just admired your bears and didn't say a word!!!
Thanks Gemma! Yep, I was there in February ... it was a great show! I really had a good time and the bears found new homes quickly - I love it when a show goes to plan!!
Fingers crossed for this show too! Look forward to seeing you there this time!!
STUNNING - nothing else I can say.
I want TIN TIN. He's gorgeous!
Wow i love pearl !! Great job on those bears Paula and tin Tin is adorable too (well all 3 of em are) i'd love to meet oyur bears in bear-person !! i bet they sure do give big hugs!!
Tin Tin is my favorite as well...I think he would look smashing sitting right next to Starbright!!
Ooooh ! I should not come near your table at Hugglets ! They are wonderful and I think I would buy Tin Tin ! (if only I could !! )
I have more than 30 ears to sew on... Must go back to work !
Ooh thanks guys! That's a real confidence booster!
By the way, Tin Tin is my daughter's favourite so far too!! I'm very pleased with the way his design has worked out ... he's has gone together very neatly.
I'm having fun with another bigger bear today ... tie-dye fabric, airbrushing, inset muzzle, sparkly eyes ... it's great to get back to the real me again after behaving myself with the demands of my classic bear!
I like them all Paula.I can't decide which is my favourite-it is Pearl I think. If I just win the lottery I can have all three.
Laurie
I love all three but especially the alpaca one.He is outstanding.I bet he sells first!!!

Paula.......I've crept up to your stand on many occassions at Hugglets, and admired your wonderful bears,
but , hopefully this time I'll pop along and introduce myself, as I feel I know you now!!!..........love them all
but I think Tin Tin is my favorite!!
(Can't believe its only two weeks......I'm nervous already!)
Yvonne.
Sounds like we are all going to be "fighting" over TinTin - he is absolutely your best ever! He is wonderful! That Alpaca makes up into the most wonderful bears.
Good luck at Kensington.
Jane P.
I wanted Teddy the moment I saw him on the challenge thread today...... LOVE HIM!!
~Chrissi
They are all so beautiful! Wish I could go with you!
JeannieB
Beautiful as always! I couldn't choose which is my favourite,
I've looked them over a few times and still can't decide.
See you at Hugglets!
Hugs Jane.
Thanks ladies! You are all very kind!
I'm really looking forward to Hugglets and catching up with some of you there .. it will be fun!
Best bit at the moment is, I've signed myself away from my order book for the next couple of weeks and can make whatever I fancy for the show, rather than repeat orders. Mind you, I wouldn't mind an extra week or two ... time's running out fast! Fortunately for me, I don't take heaps of bears to a show, I make big 'uns in the main, so don't need too many for the stand!
Hey Yvonne, no creeping incognito allowed! I don't bite you know!! (Not unless my sandwich is late that is ...)
Good luck with your preparations ... will you share a couple with us? I've seen some beauties on your website!
I am so envious of you girls going to a Hugglet show. We are coming to England for the "big trip" in two years time and I am going to try extremely hard to co-ordinate things that we are in the right place at the right time for Hugglets. If my daughter and husband knew I was plotting to visit a teddy bear show on our holiday, they would leave me at home. I'm going to wrangle it somehow!! Have fun girls.
Paula........look foward to seeing you at Hugglets........you've prompted me to showcase a couple of the bears I will
be taking........thank you for your kind comments!!
Hugs,
Yvonne.
