Well here he is, my perfect Platy Peter from Wendy of Matilda Hugginton-Beare!!!! He couldn't be a cuter platy if she'd sent me a REAL one!!! Thank you, Wendy SO much for my greatly appreciated addition to my small bear community here.
Peter Platy is one super cute fuzz ball of platy adorable-ness! Wendy grabs that sweet and playful look perfectly! This little guy is no exception to everything that I expected!! And that tail that is all too often not seen in the pics? it's a weighty, floppy platy paddle tail to perfection!
For those of you who have been bitten by the platy bug and have thought about getting one.... GET ONE!!! They are SO cute; even more so in 'person' if that's possible!!!! And for those of you who haven't thought about having a platy from Wendy... What is wrong with you!?!?!?!?
THANK YOU THANK YOU Wendy for this little darling!!!!!!
Kimberly W.

Wow, lucky you! He is super cute!!
I certainly feel that my hug wouldn't be complete without a platy from Wendy and a raccoon from you! Geez, I hope I win the lottery this weekend.....
I agree 100% with Kimberly!
Peter is a real darling!
The platy I got from Wendy too.
ALL her platies are just gorgeous!

Peter Platy is just gorgeous, I am soooo jealous!!! They are just the most amazing little creatures in real life. So very unusual. Do any of you girls overseas have them in zoos? I have no idea if they manage to live in other countries in zoos or not?
Wow what a charmer - your Peter Platy is - you are very lucky.
Hugs

Luvyas all!!! Wendyx
In the Adelaide Hills in South Australia there is a wild life park. It has accomodation. THERE you can see platypodes in the (so called) wild.
Well it isnt exactly in the Hills but on the outskirts of Adelaide. If you leave Adelaide via TeaTree Gully and head for Mannum. You will pass it. OK those in Adelaide , where exactly is it???????
So so adorable Wendy no wonder Kim is so thrilled! Look at those fabulous photos!!
Wendy I went to that wildlife park when I was in high school...what was it called...geez...when I think of it I'll post back
Its owned by the guy that use to wear the 'cat skin' hat. .....ick......
Oh what a cutie. he sure would be welcome to join my hug.
Hugs Jane.
Wendy, I think it is Warrawong Sanctuary or some spelling similar. The guy who wears the cat hats is not longer there, and it is now run by an eco group. If anyone is coming to Adelaide, let me know and I shall check it out for you.
Thanks Christine. It has been about 10 years since I have been home.
It was for those that were planning Adelaide holidays I mentioned it for. It would be a shame if they didnt get to see a platy. Especially since there is a place they can go.
What happened to the cat guy.? Did he get fed up and sell up? If it is an Eco group? then they should have a website. ? All that is needed is to track down who runs it. MMMmmm I just might have another nosey on line.
Wendy
Awesome Platy Wendy, he is absolutely gorgeous, you lucky girl Kim.
And... AND... Peter is EVEN CUTER in real life!!!!!! I'll tell you what, Wendy has got a truly unique and commical approach to platys, and having one of her little goobers is like holding onto a 'happy little bit of Oz'
You have no idea how many people are like, "ha ha, how ironic, you two swapped animals completely indigenous to your countries....."
Kimberly W.
Yeah that is co-incidental Kim.
Congratulations Kim! What an delightfuly chipper little fellow. You are a lucky girl.
Matilda, you little platy's just keep getting cuter and more adorable!

Wendy, from memory the chap in the catskin hat, isn't it terrible that we can remember his name, well, he found it financially unviable to continue, and so another large group took it over. I am sorry I don't have any more information, but at least the sanctuary is still running, which is the main thing.
cute.....
....
!!!!

He's absolutely adorable, Wendy . . . and lucky you, Kim!
Yep thats it..warrawong...the platy's were so cute! We had to wait till nightfall to see them. Its a shame that it wasn't making much money...it was a great place for schools to visit.
