I've just had my very first set of studio photographs taken! Well, not me, my bears! Luckily for me my sister is a professional photographer and she spent a day working with my bears last week ... this is a little preview of a couple of the many pics she's taken for me! I'm so pleased with them!!!
I'm working on ideas for using them now ...
Wow Paula
They are stunning! I'd be pleased as punch too! Oooh can't wait to see what you do with them. Oh....gorgeous bears too by the way - Pearl is panda perfection!
My cousin is a professional photographer and bless his heart took photos of my bears for me back when I was beginning to sell them. I just found them as I was packing to move in the weekend - fantastic photographs but the bears are hideous!!
Wow, the pictures are stunning!!!
Wow, send your sister over. (Was it Fiona who took them?) The pictures are magnificent, she's a real professional isn't she! Pearle and Georgie look fantastic. Show my photography up something rotten.
Well done on the wonderful bears Paula and well done to your sister for being such a great photographer.
Hugs Jane.
Wow!!! What absolutely beautiful pictures!!! With pictures like that you should do a sideline in your own greetings cards for people to buy !!!
Hugs
Claire
Oh, you are such a lucky girl to have a photographer in your close family!
No doubt the results your sister got are much better than what we usually get as non specialist in photography!!!
Your bears are so beautifully shown!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
PS: she is amazing in her choice of the best colours to highlight your bears!
They're fantastic Paula! No wonder you are so excited! What a handy sis!
I love the surface she has Pearl sitting on...very effective with the reflective properties! Almost ecclesiastal!(sp??)
Gorgeous bears...I so love your big bruins!
Were you there when she took the pics? I'd love to know if she used a light tent setup or just studio lights.
Hi Paula
I can see why you're excited, boy they are stunning.
I was lucky enough to meet Paula and her bears in the fur on Sunday before she sold too many. Your stand was wonderful my dearie and your bears are utterly gorgeous and HUGE. I'm glad you had a great day and it was lovely to meet you.
So happy to hear you like the pics! I'm thrilled with them and have hundreds more to choose from.
To answer some of the questions:
Tina is third sister of five, I'm the eldest, Tina's in the middle. So no Jane, good guess, but it wasn't Fiona!
I'm afraid I'm not very good with the techie questions but I'll try. She arrived in a people carrier, full of gear rather than people! I couldn't believe how much stuff came with her! I'm afraid I wouldn't recognise a light tent if it bit me on the bum, so can't answer that, (didn't think to ask!) there were backgrounds, the reflective thing my panda is sat on and posh lighting equipment. There was an umbrella thing, a diffusing light thing ... oh you name it! My living room furniture was shifted around to make space and then we just played! Her digital camera is amazing and hugely expensive. Usually she works from her studio at home, but she drove two and a half hours and came to my house as a favour. We had such fun! It was a lovely day.
I was most definitely 'there' when she took the pics Hayley ... couldn't bear to miss the fun! Also, it was the first time she had photographed bears, usually she does people! So it was a learning curve for us both!
Now we're working on a plan to bring our individual skills together and use them in a little venture ... watch this space! ;)
Kate, you must have been typing your message as I was! It was lovely to meet you too!! I'm really chuffed you liked my bears!! Thank you!!
They are brilliant Paula!! Lucky you possum!!
I could have sworn Pearl was blue and white. But in this shot she is cream and greeny.
MMMMmmmm?????? She's still gorgeous though
Paula what fantastic photo's of the bears .... they really have come up lovely..not that your bears wouldn't look good in any photo..
Thanks for taking a look and for your kind comments!
Wendy, Pearl is made from Intercal's 370sc in sky blue and buttercup ... the colours in the pic above are a very good representation, perhaps your monitor is reading the pic colours slightly differently.
Wow Paula...the photos are fantastic...but then the bears are a great subject to photograph. Did she take photos of you WITH the bears?
Simply lovely...
Fantastic pics Paula - You are lucky.
Really pretty photos, Paula. I'd be excited, too!
Ah Shantell! She did indeed! I haven't vetted them yet, so no peeking just yet!!
