I'm putting away my sewing machine now. My hands and back ache and I'm tired! I've scraped together seven big bears for my show on Sunday and this guy is the last one. I'm not going to try to squeeze in one more, tomorrow my photographer sister is coming to visit and will teach me how to take proper pics of the bears. We're going to set up a little studio in my living room ... should be fun!
This guy is called 'Basie'. He's about 22" tall (the biggest bear I'm taking for this show) and made from Intercal's yummy dense 825a in stone. I've given him an inset muzzle and sparkly eyes ... his paw pads are shaded and, well, the usual stuff, you know, he has a growler, a waxed nose, pellets for weight ... etc etc etc.
Anyway, like I said, this is Basie, I hope you like him and thank you for taking a peek! 
Paula..I have everything crossed..(including my eyes actually as I have been sewing since 7am...) that it all goes well on Sunday...all your bears are fab!! :clap:

I'm looking forward to a couple of days away from bear-making now and then of course, I'm looking forward to the the big day! It will be fun to catch up with everyone ... there's a very friendly circuit of bearmakers here in the UK as many of us have known one another for a good few years, so show time is always a sociable time!
