Laurel -
The rules are clearly explained in sub section B -c/d 23-305.4 of your membership agreement. You may never alter another persons pattern! And you must always use Intercal Fabrics! To be eligible to win any prizes you must be 18 to enter and must be a resident of the United States of America.

Just teasing you...
The rules, if any, are usually listed in the 1st post that is made. Our biggest rule is post pictures and share!
Use any fabric you have. We are a pretty easy going group on here. The one rule that people usually try to make is the deadline. But I think that can vary greatly. I think I posted something to a challenge about a month after it was due.
Relax and Have FUN!

Laurel . . . yes, indeed, you may increase/decrease the size of the pattern.  This is our first free pattern challenge, and we are seeing things we will improve upon next time.  For instance, I don't believe I put the size of the bear this pattern design makes.  Goldie is around 14", but when you print the pattern, it will come out about 95% of the original . . . so will make an approximately 13.5" bear.  At least that's what my printer did when I printed it out.  If it is printed at 100%, some of the lines get cut off.  So - next time we will adjust for that.  We didn't put a time limit on this challenge, so make your bear when it's convenient for you.  Just want everyone to enjoy the experience!

I just finished making up Sue Ann's pattern.

I resized it to 35% and the head 45%.  Then whipped it up.  It was a joy to work with, sewed easily, everything fit perfectly and it has some really good aspects to it that make working the pattern quite nice.

I encourage everyone to give it a go.

Now I have to figure out how to accessorize.... bear_grin

Thanks Sue Ann I had the fur ( from Intercal!! ) and I have to thank you because I was having  a hard time finding joy in making bears that had always help me get back on the "pink" if I was "Blue" I did started working  on a bear and just did not find what I always found??? Well your bear did it! I did cut her yesterday and have her done just a while ago! I think I will call her "Isabel" it wa the name of my favorite aunt.
Thank you again so very much, your pattern took me out of the "blue" and into the PINK!
Bear hugs and Golly smiles.

I have finished my "Goldie" bear, but named her Pinkie. I also placed her picture in the Challenge gallery. Thanks Sue Ann, your pattern was very easy to follow and I am pleased with how cute she turned out. Pinkie is a keeper!

Wow, Sonya, Pinkie is a sweetheart!  Thanks for doing the challenge!  And Gladys, I'm so pleased that working on
Isabel has lifted your spirits.  Bearmaking does that for me, too!
