Aussie rules football is somewhat of a cult here in Australia. Of course those of us who don't follow it kinda don't 'get' it (what the fuss is all about I mean).
I did the unthinkable 18 years ago and got married on Grand Final Day (no-one told ME!!!) and was quite unpopular with a few uncles and cousins. :twisted:
I was told after the church ceremony, than one uncle had an ear piece in listening to the game! The cheek! bear_tongue
