While I was sewing clothes already years ago I realised, that faric made from wool dryed out my hands.
Now, with mohair it is exactly the same and I use several brands of hand creams, lotions and other gung to make them look better.

Do you hav the same problem? And if so, what secrets would you share with us about that problem?? ( Like: what lotion you use; or if you spread handcream over the fabric before you sew  )

Thanx for any hint!

I can't remember when but there was a good discussion about this some time ago, just do a search.

I think lots of good creams were recomended.

I must be lucky, I don't find mohair dries out my hands at all.

I have the same problems.  Not sure if it is from Mohair though as I have had the problem for long time.  Anyhoo, I'm allergic to mostly everything (including synthetic fabrics -ahhhh) so I can't use much.  I was using a very pricey handcream for people with allergies, and found it was useless.   Then I tried a cheapo Sorbelene from a Department store, and it's fantastic!!!!!!  I can't believe it works so wonderfully and it is so cheap!!!

So pricey doesn't alway = the best.  Try out stuff and hopefully you'll find something that works for yo u!

Mine have always dried out, working with so many different fabrics etc,
the best cream in the world is called Cetaphil in a green and white jar,
should be able to get it at any drug store.
No Fragrance so does not burn chapped cut hands.
