I am having trouble finding a good glue to use to glue my screw/washer to my
disk before closing up my neck.
The stupid thing keeps working loose and turning on me and I can't tighten
the locknut down with the screw turning in the head. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Before throwing the fairy doogle against the wallllllllllllllllllll..  bear_shocked
please what glue do you use...................

I now get a bulk superglue from a fixings supplier but found that Loctite was really good. With superglue I was once told by a joiner that less is more. You need to join surface to surface not glue to more glue to get a strong bond...otherwise you get a fragile bond that snaps easily

I used to get loads break ...my dad does mine for me now..but we put a small amount on and try to get discs with holes that are nice and snug.

I use Elmer's Craft Bond.  It's a polyurethane glue and I've not had any trouble with it.  Just be sure to let it set long enough.   :hug:  :hug:  :hug:

I use Liquid Nails and I've never had an issue with it.  It's a little bottle of super glue type stuff I found at Home Depot.

Thanks all for the info.
And thanks before I pulled my hair out!
This has never happened before I don't know what was wrong.
I think the type of glue I was using is flexable or something and the screw kept
working loose.

I had never thought of something like this and I hav a hard time imagining, how this should work :doh:

I use 2 part epoxy.........I make up a bunch of joints at one time, as you need to let this cure hours.........but it works great.

I tried the 2 part epoxy and I never seemed to get it to work for some reason- I'm the reason most likely    bear_tongue

Now I use crazy glue , but first I juse a pin or my scissors to quickly scratch the washer , bolt head  and the disk around the hole for the glue to get a better grip.  It works like a charm and I don't have to wait so long for it to dry.

Sounds like there are lots of great choices here , just find what works best for you.

Tami,
Maybe you should switch over to set screws or grub screws so you don't have to worry about the glue to use and you won't be bald from pulling your hair out.  Not mentioning the abuse the poor bear could suffer.  They are a little more expensive than the regular bolts but you don't have the problem of the glue not holding.  You are saving time and frustration!
