I am getting better.....here is my second felted, I am loving this, I have to tell you.
Those of you who are interested but haven't tried yet.....I really encourage you....
It feels like scupting.....you have a wad of fuzz and see what's inside it and then start poking till the ittle guy pops out!

Oh I was thinking of you today,I got a new Australian Bear magazine (Vol 11 No.1 and saw the cutest little needle felted golly.L.A. Bears is selling the kits for $24.95 N.Z. It's on the same page as Sue Ann's sweet Calypso and she has two adorable bears on the back page. Very nice! Just Thursday afternoon I stopped to a craft shop (with some friends as we needed a break from our Seneca Lake wine tasting tour) and they had a neat variety of hand felted items including a 10' long tug-o-war rope, a dog toy shaped like a bone, and large pots and baskets. Very cool, and very sturdy stuff. Will have to try someday.

Posts: 8,574I am now attempting to felt the muzzle of my second bear. This will take longer, but I am learning alot about this form of fiberart.
I'll show before and after pics when I get done.
