:doh: Judi- I swear this is not your week at all. First your auction and now your poor dog. On top of it all your nine year old had to see the family pet hurt. Bless your heart!! It is dreadful when it happens and so senseless and inhuman. I lost my lovely cat to a hit and run..he just drove over her..and broke my heart at the same time.

I do hope she's going to be ok  :pray:

I'm praying that little Mandi will be ok. Let's hope that miracle happens for her. You poor little daughter to have gone through that , she must be so upset as must all of you. I'm so sorry for your little doggy. The driver was awful in not stopping. I once had a cat run in front of my car. As cats are it was far to quick for me to stop, it was being chased by another cat. It was horrid but I managed to trace the owner and at least was able to say sorry even though it was nobodys fault. I hope a big hug and sorry from all of us helps a little. :hug:

Judi I'm so sorry--I hope little Mandi pulls through for her sake and your daughter's :hug:

My daughter Caroline saw one of our cats  hit by a car years ago--the driver deliberately swerved to hit him, and the poor thing managed to run home before he collapsed.

Oh Judi! I am so so so so so sorry to hear this news! I had a kitty in the hospital clinging to life a few years ago. He made it but it felt like my whole life froze during that week. Please keep us updated and you will definately be in my thoughts!!!!!  :hug:

Thank you very much everyone.  I really needed your support right now.

Yesterday when Rachel brought Mandi into the house she laid her on a rug.  Mandi was not moving, no rise and fall of her chest so she was not breathing, eyes open, blood coming from her mouth( internal bleeding...or so I thought),  two legs cut and bleeding ,and she was stiff, except for her right front leg which was dangling at the elbow.

My daughters were hysterical, Joey was outside with daddy, and I was crying so hard I could not see straight.  I touched her and still no response.  My hubby came in and took one look and said, "She's dead."

THEN...about 30 seconds later she twitched...then I saw the rise and fall of her chest so we called the vet so they would be ready and we raced to the office.  My daughter and I crying the whole way.  I honestly in my heart knew she was not going to make it.

BUT....at the vets office she perked up.  They gave her IV fluids and anti-inflammitory medication.  After x-rays and an exam she has a broken elbow, pulmonary contusions(bruised lungs), a torn inner lip requiring repair, and cuts to her face and legs.

She is in a third hospital today.  I had to take her to a specialist about an hour away.  She needs orthopedic surgery tommorrow.  Her elbow wil be pinned, wired, and plated.

BUT SHE IS GONING TO BE FINE!

See all your prayers and good thoughts worked!!!  We can hardly believe she is alive...let alone going to be fine.                 :hug:
