Let's have a laugh, and you all know I have no trouble laughing at my, hmmmm, shall we say creations?

That could be too kind.

I thought I was making elves, cute, sweet, little elves.....

The hubster says these two are so ugly that I CAN'T call them elves, I have to demote them to gnomes...but he says they are too ugly even for our house.

Well, if they are too UGLY then they are great for a laugh!

So, show us your uglies, I know I am not the only one to do ugly extreme....top me if you can!

Of course I did have a purpose, besides the fact that I have foresworn using cotton anymore and the new exciting stuff isn't here yet, and that was that this new golly needed some friends, I thought.

Now I wonder who gets in more trouble, who thinks up the biggest shenanigans?

Oh no Dilu, these are FAR from ugly!!  I think they're really really cute!!  Very elfin, not gnomish at all...nope they're definilty elves, cute ones!!

I find them cute too !

But if you want real ugly, I'm sure I will win ! Just let me the time to fill the battery of my camera and you will see the ugliest thing ever !
(A white cotton mouse-bear which I made years ago for my baby nephew that I have taken yesterday as the subject of horrible experiments with my brand new airbrush  :twisted:  :twisted: )
Maybe it's so ugly you won't manage to sleep anymore... I should not show you  :crackup: (it's VERY ugly :D)

OK, here is my UGLY contribution.  This is the first small bear I made.  I keep him tucked away in the back of a drawer.  Everything is crooked and what was I thinking with that nose????

I find him cute ! This big nose pleases me  !

I've made pictures of the poor old mouse who acts for me as a guinea-pig. The first time using an airbrush has been hard  :crackup:.

If it's a contest, I'm pretty sure I've won !  It is the ugliest thing I can think of !

Oh dear, well Marion, yes so far you're the  leading contender.

I think its fun to look at our goofups....I think goofups are as important as our succsess!

Air brushing is difficult....given that was your first time I say Kudos!  My first time went to the dump.....

Oh Patty, 2 and a half inches tall, that's pretty ambitious for a first time micromini.  WOW!  We can tell what he is, so don['t be too hard, I think he is better than quite a few of my first micro minis....And I couldn't even save them for their cotterpins and discs....just the eyes,

sigh....

No, I have looked at your little one quite closely and think he deserves fresh air....put him out and proudly display him....if you listen closely he will inspire you!

And the chkerboard treatment of his tum....that had to be tough to do!

Oh thank you, Dilu.  I guess since I've exposed him to all of TT now I might as well let him out of the drawer, but he will have to hide descreetly behind another bruin.

And Marion, I want to clarify my post above.  I wasn't laughing at your mouse, I was laughing with him.  He is a funny, funny mouse.   I don't think he's ugly at all.

Just goes to show ya . . . either beauty is in the eye of the beholder or we are all too critical of our own work?????

Man, I wish I still had my corsage bear---one of my very early bears, otherwise known as "gopher Bear". She would take the prize here. I made her out of a cheap and stretchy synthetic plush which I stuffed until her head was a fat round ball with no difinitve snout at all. I sewed her limbs on instead of jointing them (I didn't know where to find joints) and they were quite crooked. I wrapped some cheap lace around her middle to make a skirt and put my prom corsage in her paws. I thought she was pretty cute and my boyfriend told me he did too.  Fast forward a few years and my new husband  (same guy) and I are getting rid of some stuff as we get ready to move. We are cracking up at how ugly this bear is. Sean says it looks like the gopher from "Caddy Shack" My friend's mom falls in love with it and I tell her she can have it as long as she doesn't tell anyone I made it!!!

hey!!!! I actually like  the Tufted Tail, Stretchy Cheeked, Fluffy Faced Green Grabnibbler,he has PERSONALITY.....with bold capitals :dance:

I can't find  my really bad uglies.....they are buired under my uglies......which are buried under my OK's.....which are buied under  my not working out so not quite finisheds......which are buried under my hhmmmmm's I'm thinking of the next step ......which are buried under my......well you get the idea!!

I loooove the green Grabnibbler !    I find him sweet !  Truly :).
Jodi, I especially like the little sheep, not ugly at all : he is adorable !

Dilu : no the checherboard treatment was not tough at all  :crackup: . I first made a black blob, then another, then another, then another...
Patty : you know, I didn't aimed for anything when I airbrushed this mouse that  I found ugly even without paint. I was going to fill in an old sock in order to make my first tests and then I remembered the mouse (I'm kinda cruel   :crackup: Poor thing ). I didn't try to ornate her but to use her as a paper to make random forms with the paint... And I find the result so terribly ugly  that I think I will cherish this mouse all my life   :crackup:. She will have some red paint on today as I really want to understand how an airbrush acts, so if you want I will post the updates  :crackup:..

You asked for it! My first try with scissor sculpting. The tipped fur didn't like that too much!!  :crackup:
We call him MonkeyBear.
I also needed to line the faux-fur, it had a lot of stretch and he got very fat!!!

I once had a woman at church say that my gollies were "so ugly they were cute"  Your yellow guy made me giggle....he is so unique....partly needle felted partly?

Aerianna, your poor little cross eyed stunned Lisa Bear.....she does look perpetually surprised....she's still cute! Well I think she's a cutie. And since they are getting divorced and it isn't at all amicable perhaps you want to leave David out of the picture?

i think this is what has to happen when we begin new techniques like scissors sculpting, needle felting...I bought bears a Walmart to practise air brushing on.....I figured the cost was about the same, but at least i wasn't putting a lot of heart and soul in to an airbrushing disaster....Maybe I should do that for scissors sculpting...hmmmm
