For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
The ABC Show in Schaumburg, coming up next month, features a Gallery of creations from artists who want to participate. These pieces are shown separately from the regular showroom participant's items. I'm working on my gallery piece and this is what I've got so far. More to come.
Sue Ann they are an adorable pair!! Can't wait to see them finished.
Note about the gallery: You may want to invite people who visit your table at the show to go and see your piece in the gallery. The Gallery tables were right out in front last year, but I expect a lot of folks just went inside the showroom.
My gallery piece last year did not sell, so I put him on ebay as soon as I returned home, and his winning bidder turned out to be someone who I had just met at that show (happy ending). But, she had not seen him there at all. He was a fairly big bear, too.
Hi Sue:
Love the piece...love the "curious" pose of the little one on the left.
Hugs, Nancy
Great bears Sue Ann- wish I was going to be at Schaumburg this year It was such an awesome show last year
Hugs

Thanks so much Tami, Melanie, Eileen, Nancy, and Gail . . . I'm having fun putting this set together. I hope - when it's all finished - that it somewhat resembles the picture I've got in my head. Tami, thanks a bunch for the suggestion concerning the gallery - I just can't imagine a creation of yours not selling immediately. But, I'm glad it did get adopted soon after. Thank you all, again, for your nice comments. Am S L O W L Y getting the rest of it done.
They are so adorable together! I can't wait to see the how it turns out..... :photo: more pictures!!!

Looking foward to see more pics.
Sue Ann they are FABuLOUS!!!!
Oh COOL!!! You are going to be at Schaumburg!!!! I'll have a table there too
Sue Ann they look great...can't wait to see the rest of it.....have a fantastic time at the show.
Fantastic Sue Ann, good luck, your pieces are fantastic.
Finally . . . the whole Gallery Piece is finished. The cubs have gotten into a ton of trouble by stealing a bee hive. Then made another bad decision by taking it home. Mama isn't happy. The caption for the vignette is "Just Wait Until Your Father Gets Home!"
A close up of the three bears.
Mom Bear has a double-jointed neck and I had to create the hive. The bees are buttons.
Oh Sue Ann, that is soooo great!!! I love to see the mama's and babies. I get kind of a maternal feeling that makes me miss my girls. Look you make me cry... but really, I love your vignette. It looks like it's right off of the Animal planet chanel.
Amazing, Sue Ann--
The whole piece is full of character and wit!
It's FANTASTIC! I love it!! What an amazing amount of work!
Super work Sue Ann ... those cubs are adorable!!
Thank you so much! Guess the test will be if someone at the Schaumburg show likes it well enough to haul home. It's a big piece and the driftwood weighs a good bit . . . rather awkward. It was fun creating and photographing it, though.
Sue Ann - in my humble opinion - this work is OUTSTANDING.
If they don't like it - send them to Specsavers.
What size is each piece and are they mohair? Scrummy whatever.
(My 3D embroidered bees would have found a beehome)
Thanks SO much, Sandra! The piece of driftwood is about 38" from end to end. The two cubs are 8" when standing up straight on their hind legs. Mom bear is 16" standing up straight. Mom is mohair and the cubs are alpaca. Thanks, everybody!
Wonderful piece Sue Ann- you should be really proud of it and I hope it is snapped up the first night it is displayed
Hugs
Gail
PS the title of your vignette I heard many many a time as a child from my Mother's mouth!!!!
