Presenting Ally Pally bear number 6! I'm on a roll!!
So, this is 'Bedazzle'. I took a chance with this one and went for a mohair I am completely unfamiliar with. It's Schulte, it has a 'tizzy' pile (!) with a sparkly thread running through it ... quite a challenge!
I've stuck with my 20" size for Bedazzle, because it works well on the table. Bedazzle has handpainted lilac sparkle eyes, a grape coloured waxed nose and an alpaca muzzle and inner ears. I've played around with the shading around the muzzle, ears and eyes and the result is ... well, I'll leave you to decide the answer to that!
Wow Paula, Bedazzle is just beautiful!
I love how you shaded and highlighted just enough to call attention to his gorgeous colouring and perfect proportions!
Best Wishes,
Cheryl
Wow! He is beautiful Paula, he'll sure go quickly from your stand at Ally Pally.
Hugs Jane.
Paula, the result is . . . perfect. Beautiful bear and I love love love his eyes. Wow.
Wow!!!!....Paula I just love him!!!
Very unique with amazing eyes!
Paula,
The bears you've created for the upcoming show are wonderful. They have great "ahhh" appeal and the craftsmanship is awesome...much success.

Just beautiful, Paula! Your shading is really something special, and Bedazzle isn't going to be sitting on your table very long.

Well, I certainly am glad that you all like him! I was a little nervous about this one!
Ellen, I know just how you feel about pinning yourself down to completing your work, it's so hard sometimes. I think that's a problem for those of us who have been making bears for so long, sometimes you wonder if there are any more left inside you to make! But there always are ... a new idea will take hold and before you know it, the enthusiasm levels are right back up again!
Good luck with the renovation ... chalky colours sound beautiful!
Yvonne, as you say, not long now! Less than a week to go. I have two more bears to complete this week and then I'm taking a breather!
This is a dazzler for sure, Paula! You must be having lots of fun with the colors and different furs. Keep it up--your stand will look wonderful at the fair, and the bears will fly off the table!
You guessed right Debora ... I love using a wide variety of fabrics and it's great to play with colour too! I'm really glad you've enjoyed the preview of my show bears. Thank you for taking a peek!
Paula, once again a beautiful bear. I agree with all before me the colours and shadings you have done are inspiring to all and I hope you have a great time at the upcoming show. I would definately like to be there but alas the air fares would leave me no $$$$$ for bears....
what more can be said.........
WOW! He's ..., he's...., he's....bedazzling!!!! What more can I say!
Thanks ladies. You've given me just the boost I needed to face the show!
wowza! It feels kind of redundant to say over and over again how much I love your bears....but i really truly mean it! Fabulous use of fabric and colour once again....lucky person who gets to take Bedazzle home!
I have been in such a funk with my own bears and it's been great to pop in and out and see what someone truly creative can do!! I have just stitched on the last ear of my "classic" bear that you challenged us to make so many months ago (and boy was it a challenge!)
Best of luck with Ally Pally - don't forget to take a photo of your table!
Thank you so much Melissa! I promise to slip my digicam into my bag and take a few pics to share with TT while I'm at the show!! I look forward to seeing your classic challenge bear .. don't forget to show him off on TT!
