ttt2.jpgttt3.jpgttt5.jpgttt6.jpgttt1.jpgtt4.jpgHI,  Here is "Danelle", she  is my 14th Sheltie, and she is my first "double-jointed" neck!  It was always taking me forever to decide which postition to place the head in.......then I read about the "double-jointed" neck (right here in TeddyTalk)
I am thrilled with it , and so is her new mom.

Sorry, for this late editing, but I thought I should tell you what "Danelle" is made with.

Crafted with a combination of hand & machine stitching,
She was made with  synthetic double coated faux fur (3” length and very dense),
has premium quality glass eyes,
handcrafted leather lower eyelids,
handcrafted polymer clay nose,
and handcrafted polymer clay paw pads.
The “double-jointed” neck is done with lock-nuts, set screws and
hardwood disc’s.
The head, face, legs and paws are needle and scissor sculpted.
The classic coloring is created with a type of permanent “ink” that doesn’t rub
or brush off, and dries soft with out the shine of inks I have used in the past.

I made up some instructions on the "double-jointed" neck to give to new owners,  I posted them in the tips forum.  "Danelle's" mom wrote to me and said it was real easy getting the hang of it.
Thanks to all,

Linda

I'm speechless Linda! I hope you will be entering the TOBY's or Golden Teddies with her! The double jointed neck makes a great difference so well worth the effort! Thanks for the instructions too, very kind of you.

How many shelties did you make before they looked so realistic? You are so talented!

Thanks for all the lovely compliments!!  "Danelle" is my 14th Sheltie,  I made my first one in July of 2004.  Each one has been a learning expereince.  (I learned so much from everybody here at Teddytalk)

A great big Thnak-you!!!!!!

Linda, Hayley is totally incorrect.  There ARE no TOBY or Golden Teddy awards.  Or any other contests, for that matter.  And there's especially no "friends" category in those contests which, as I said, don't exist.

Just want to be sure you're getting accurate information on that contest "myth," so that you won't try to enter any contests with your great Shelties or anything.   Wouldn't want to waste your time!
