Just a note to say it was lovely to see all the TTers  at the fair today...Sam, Melanie and Yvonne..it was lovely to chat!!

The fair was a great success and we pretty much sold out apart from 2 bears who I think have homes to go to anyway...

It was bustling ...friendly and full of enthusiastic collectors ..just like a fair should be. I even got two new collectors today...never bought a bears before ..so I was very flattered that they chose mine.

So all in all a great day!!

Here is my stand..I am afraid I was very bad at taking pictures...too much talking!!

Wow, your stand looks great Jenny!

I've been desperate to know how you all got on today!

I hope the others have some piccies too.

Do you have any info on the one for next year - I'd be interested to know how much a table is....

Gemma just email them..they are such nice, professional people. I think it's about £125 for the stand..if I remember correctly. Not cheap...but worth it.

Jenny, it was lovely to meet you in person today.....I really enjoyed our chat, and seeing your

fabulous bears in the fur.....although of course by the time I got to your stand, you had very few

left!.....and as you know I was very sorely tempted by the little sweetheart in the blue cardie!!!

(.......but I'm sure he's now sold)!!!

Although I went as a spectator......I thought the fair had a real buzz, and a lovely atmosphere

about it, and most exhibitors where reporting good sales........which was fantastic!

I also met TTers Melanie, Samantha, Chloe, and Christine.....it was really lovely chatting to you

all......I had a great day!!!

Jenny and Melanie thanks so much for sharing news and pics. Jenny I am astounded (but not at all surprised!!!) that you sold all your bears but two! The very fact that your table is COVERED in bears makes that an incredible result! Well done! I'll bet you are deeming it well worth all those 4am mornings! Maybe you should re-name you bears "4am Bears"  bear_grin  Congrats on such a great show and I have to say those bears look so much better with their bodies on!

Melanie Jayne I am so pleased that this show was so successful for you! Six bears is a fantastic result for someone new to the show scene...well done! And what lovely new bears on your table..they all look fab! I love doing shows for the people part too...the comments and the smiles are worth $ to me as much as the cash itself.

Thanks everyone!! I think that why this fair is great....and there are criticisms that folks make about this fair..It is in a huge exhibition centre ..and the hall is cavernous..but I think it's so well supported by advertising and consequently the customers flood in. There are also other 'craft' shows there on the same day 'Christmas crafts' and 'Hobby and Art supplies' and so there were lots of visitors there all with an eye for detailing and crafts. I met new collectors who'd never been to a fair before..new artists...and I came away feeling it was a really positive experience.
On top of that meeting Melanie (whose bears have the most perfectly stitched noses I have ever seen, by the way!!)and Christine and Yvonne was really nice and we definitely put the bear world to rights!
The stands, for the most part were all presented nicely, Melanies bears are brilliant and she is definitely a perfectionist..every detail is beautifully executed and the result is superb craftsmanship..(can you tell I am impressed...my sister never stopped talking about them..she can't believe how clever you are!!!).
Some people had a bad day...but then that happens..we've all had those. Whatever happens though you do have to try to take away a positive experience.

Such good news to hear you had a positive show!  Although I'm not keen on the venue because it's somewhat lacking in charm, I've got to agree that whenever I've exhibited there it has always been very professionally organised by lovely friendly people and it's definitely one of the more sociable shows.  Your tables looked great!

thanks for sharing girls. I'm jealous I wasn't there, but it's nice to hear it was such a great show.

Jenny, I just drooled over all those bears on your table, my favorite one is the panda at the very top!

Melanie jane, wow! I love your table,  those clothes and hats you make, really set your bears apart.

I thought I would add my couple of pictures from the fair yesterday.  Unfortunately they are all a bit blurred, so I have also added a couple of pictures of two of my newest bears, which were my first bears to sell at the fair.
The fair was a positive one for me too.  It wasn't my best ever, but it was good.
I was also thrilled to adopt one of Jenny's bears.  Jenny - I absolutely adore Isla.  I have sat admiring her all day whilst feeling poorly, and her sweet little face really makes me smile!
