Just wondering how you all are doing with the Christmas shopping ? I have a few more things to get ........but ran out of ideas for now. How is it going for you guys ?
Oh My. Christmas shopping. My dog has practically drained me and now she needs more surgery that I have had to put off so I can buy Christmas presents. Both of Mandi's knees need to be repositoned.
I want to take my kids to see Santa...only my youngest believes ( an me too) ...but the parking at the mall
Ah well...it's all part of the fun...I guess.
I'm about 1/2 done.
Hmm, I've only just started! I DID buy 2 Christmas presents yesterday!
I shop for Christmas gifts year round. I keep a list in my SUV of what I've gotten who so I don't miss anyone or buy too many things.
Having said that you'd think I'd be done with it, right??
There are a couple of people on my list who I'm always stumped by as to what would be the perfect gift. My goal is to be done shopping by Dec. 1.
Have not started yet! My hubby is always on vacation around Thanksgiving. And guess what girls, I MAKE him go also! LOL
He doesnt mind, we shop during the week when the stores are not so crowded and try to get it all done during that time! They always seem to have good sales after Thanksgiving, I always feel I get more for our money.
Wish us luck.
 I haven't bought a thing yet!! Every year I swear I will start early, and it just never happens. I do have lists I've made with ideas for everyone.......now I've just got to get shopping!!
Oops, I almost forgot.......I do have bears for my grandmas.....one is ready and the other almost. I have spoiled them, so now I HAVE to make one each year for Christmas. They love their babies, and I wouldn't hear the end of it if I didn't do it. Plus I sure wouldn't want to disappoint them.
I haven't started to even think about Christmas shopping yet. I'll probably do my usual thing and panic two days before Christmas Eve!
I am pretty much finished. Just have a few little things to pick up. Actually, I think I will put my tree up next week.
Christmas?? Is it coming up? uh oh! I haven't even thought about it! YIKES!!
ARRRRRGGGHHHHHHHH
 you guys make me sick!
is it just in my city, or all the malls busy already? Doesn't it seem to be a little early??
Anyone have any good places on-line that they do xmas shopping?? that's what I want to do this year, but I'd better hurry!
I've been done for a while now.....sickning I know. Let me explain before I get the hate-mail
For some reason every year around Christmas our mother cat gets hurt and the vet bills are enormous. She doesn't injur herself with anything normal...oh no!
Two years ago she tore her cruciate ligament and couldn't walk for three weeks (thank goodness it wasn't broken).
Last year was intersting, some how she managed to slice her tounge??????? She had to have it stitched..but of course they didn't stay in so now she literally has a forked tongue.......don't ask to this day we don't know how it happened. The vet was just as shocked as we were.
And this year as if right on cue I think she may have broken her tail!!!!!!! She can't seem to move it from about two inches past her hips. She's going in tonight to get checked out so I've got the old credit card ready!
So for this reason I have a rubbermaid tote under my bed and whenever I see something for someone through out the year I get it and throw it in there. This way also keeps me from over-spending........well actually it allows me to over spen on myself instead
Judi: I'm sorry to hear about you dog....that's a pretty big surgery...I'll be thining of you

Well, almost done... (don't shoot me!)
I only have one child, and she's 18... so one big present and a few others to wrap is really all it takes. We got her a ring she really liked at the Renaissance Faire this year (she doesn't know it) got hubby something HE liked at the Ren Faire (he DOES know).
Still need to get my 9 nieces & nephews something... but we ususally get a big box of "junk" from Oriental Trading Co. They LOVE this and look forward to it every year. I started doing this to annoy my brother and Hubby's sister  so that will be an easy 9.
Hubby will take care of his parents... I'll make a bear for my mom and my dad... They already have everything...
I'm not completely done but I've got an excellent start. I shop year round also, hitting all the clearance bargains! I have a really big family to buy for so this is really the smart way to do it. I need to go sorting through all my boxes now to see what exactly I need to get before Christmas. Usually the only things I need to get at Christmas time are for the hard-to-buy-for people, like my Dad and brothers.
Christmas shopping????? I haven't started yet. For the last few years, my kids email me their wish list. I haven't received them yet. But last year I bought my son-in-law an Amazon.com gift certificate since he had a bunch of CD's and DVD's on his list. That was easy.
I like to order online for Tracy (older daughter) and her husband since they live across country. Sometimes I take Paige (younger daughter) shopping and buy her the clothes she likes then wrap them up and put them under the tree. I quit buying clothes for either one of them unless they pick it out. Last year she wanted things like crock pot, tea kettle etc. since she had moved into her own place. This year ?????
I'm with Penny....ARGHHHHHHHHH
I have lists (copious numbers of them!!!) but I have yet to start shopping....
Actually it's not so bad...with 7 kids to shop for I have learned to be organised before I start, as long as I know what I am buying it is relatively painless!!!!!...
If you don't get stepped on by the crowd that is!!!
I have a few presents put away but I have not really given it too much thought.
I must start some serious shopping soon and not leave it until the last minute like I normally do.
Hugs
Carolyn
To all of you who are almost done, I admire you and am in awe of you.
To all of you who haven't started, or barely started, I'm right there with ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ever year I start off with such good intentions of being done early, enjoying the holiday season without stressing out and well, there's always next year. lol.

Heather: shop at Amazon.com. You can find boat loads of stuff and it is shipped right to your door.
As for where am I in my shopping for christmas, well I have yet to begin. But, I plan on bringing my ostrich feather tree to work on Thanksgiving and begin decorating it. From there that will put me in the mood to shop....I think....

Well almost done here am stocking up on Christmas food now, so don't have to get crushed in the crowds. My idea is that as I buy through the year it gives me extra cash to go to the sales after xmas.
At the moment my thoughts are with my neice's hubby he had cancer throught it was all good now he is in hospital and not good. It has gone though his lungs and now its just when ...............so can you please say a pray for them as they are so wonderful and to lose her partner at this time of year is just so sad.....

Debbie....I lifted a prayer for them . Hang in there.
Christmas shopping is going to consist of cards for the Talkers.....One of the advantages to getting older, there is so little I need or want except more supplies of course, always ad infinitum.....
I haven't started yet! But I ordered my Christmas cards the other day and that was early for me.
Normally not got round to it yet but this year have 3 'main' presents already (I have 5 lttle boys ages 4-17). And already got about half the stocking presents. For me, that's efficient! Also, got into bear-making to make them xmas bears - they all have one each but I've gone back and made the 2 youngest an 'extra' bear each as I made their's first and they were rubbish!
Thank you for your prayers Jodi......Mark passed yesterday very peacefully, he waited until my neice was asleep in the room then he let go......his star is shining over my neice.......
