Apparently today is an 'actively avoiding work' day and so I was cruising through some of my favourite websites trying to get inspired to finish the 1/2 dozen WIPs (works in progress) I have going. When you're not looking at Teddys, what other media do you look at to get yourself refocused?
Where do you go to find inspiration on the web?
Here are just 3 of mine:
http://www.polle.net/marlaine/
http://www.polle.net/henniekoffrie/ (just really love the opening...slide the red square)
http://www.akirastudios.com/
Maybe these are not your 'cup of tea', but they work for me and I really do want to know what works for you!

Cool Sites Cheryl,
I'm also avoiding work today! LOL
Wish I could think of the cool places I go for inspiration. When I think of them, I'll post them here. Untill then, I'm going back to play with the red slider thingy. LOL
I love these sites.........the one with the red square is fabulous...........i must get to grips with my Macromedia Flash software, i would love a website like that.
Thanks for the links, i shall waste many hours drooling over the dolls, maybe i will learn a few tips to help me with my doll making.

Hi Cheryl.
Well, you've given me TONS of things to inspire me LOL!!! I love the sites - I used to be familiar with all the doll artists, but haven't been following them as closely. I looooove the first site and her dolls.
I'm really into fairies and mixed media. I'm working on my first fairy - a polymer clay one and hope to finish it over Christmas. I love the Somerset Press magazines, especially Sumerset Studio and Legacy magazines. Their website is http://www.stampington.com if you aren't familiar with them. - they show samples of the magazine. I also love Cloth, Paper, Scissors magazine. You can probably find a sample of that on the web as well, but can't remember who publishes it. Hope this gives you something to look for.
hugs,
Brenda
Sometimes my inspiration comes from people walking down the street, especially if they are wearing something warm and furry. I will stare and think, that would make a lovely bear.
OOps, just read the heading (non- bear inspiration... sorry)

No No Denise, you were absolutely right! Different things inspire my bear making and not necessarily things to do with bears...I am influenced a lot by Dollmakers. I just hate when someone recommends a book and I can't see it right away (I'm pretty much an instant gratification person ) so I suggested websites.

Cheryl! Thank you for that "eye candy"!!! Wonderful artists. My friend and fellow Teddy Talker Connie B just received the Akira Blount DVD today. she said I may borrow it sometime! I'm inspired by doll artist websites too.
I wish to one day be able to sculpt realistic children and one of my favortite doll artists is Rotraut Schrott.
