For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
Good Morning,
Does your state have a "Use Tax" - find out it may save you money in the future.
What is "Use Tax" if you are an artist or anyone in business and purchase things online or out of your home state for your business and don't pay sales tax you are subject to "Use Tax" in your state. "Use Tax" is a way for your state to collect tax on items purchased out of state.
This does NOT apply to things bought for resale. It's on things like computer equipment, office supplies, tools, etc. - the other things you buy and don't pay tax for - for your business.
Go to your states revenue - sales tax site and do some research. It may save you big money in interest and sales tax payments to your state. All states do not have "Use Tax" to my knoweldge.
With our government spending so much money, states are looking for ways to collect more from small businesses, keep ahead with the knowledge of "Use Tax" and save in the end.
