Hubby showed me how to use FrontPage, and I have created a simple auction template....the only thing is when I pasted the code into my auction it didn't keep my background, everything else worked perfectly...any suggestions???

Krista
Hi Krista.
When you say that your background was lost....was this when you previewed it on eBay using the 'preview your listing'?
If it was you will find that eBay blocks out the background so you can view all the details of the listing, your background is still there but not showing until you submit your listing.
Is this making any sense? I am dreadful at explaining things. Let me know Krista.
Penny
Thanks Penny, but it didn't even show up in the listing...so I put the xmas lights on for a border, maybe I should try to take them off and put up the bakcground again???
Hugs,
Krista
nope no luck, background is still showing up white, all I wanted was a simple black background, but I guess that is too much for me this early in the design game!!! OH Well, I like it anyways...just kind of takes away from the Hemi engine orange and black colors

Krista
Krista, I took a quick look at your code and didn't see anything at all that would have been a background. Maybe that version didn't get saved? If you want everything to be black, at the top of your code where it says <body> change it to
<body bgcolor="#000000">
Hope this helps!
Kelly
Yes, do what Kelly says Krista - there is no body background colour code in the html text.
It should be black if you put the code that Kelly gave you in.
Good Luck - html is a pain in the bum
Penny
Perfect!!!!! Thank you Kelly and Penny!!!
Check it out now, the black makes all the difference!!!

Krista
Uhh, glad you got this sorted out.
i just had to say I love that dog! You've done an amazing job on him. He's just soo darned cute!
Just passing through Krista. and had to stop and say that your wee dog is just the cutest most realistic wee darling I have seen in absolute ages. Oh boy!! talk about win my heart.
I wish you untold success with this one!!
I just love your ebay layout. It certainly does him justice
Looks like that worked out for you... Great.
Hemi is cute.
I know that with the templates that I use most of the time I need to go back and revise the listing and re-paste the background code into the listing.
For some reason when I list items that information does not always transmit. Who knows?
I made it easy for my mom to fix by herself.
I have the template html code written in a word doc. I changed all the text to red that needs to be re-pasted. That way she knows what she needs to copy and paste. It works great.
