Meet cacao, a bear I made for a special friend.

Sorry, the pic is very bad. I finished the bear today and had not enough daylight. Inside with the flash, it is so bad I won't show the result to anyone.

Cacao is made with a  1 cm semi dense bronze mohair. He has dark brown ultra suede paw pads and foot pads.
He has charcoal English glass eyes with hand painted back in a orange colour after adding golden glitter: the result gives sparkling brown eyes... 

I made him some soft clay eyelids and painted them in dark brown with acrylic paint.

I embroided his nose with brown twisted coton and then carefuly waxed it with bee wax.

I filled him with some kapok into his muzzle and feet, some heavy polyester into the rest of the head and limbs and mainly a mix of steel beads plus plastic pellets into the body. so he is very heavy.

I still have to finish to make his jewellery pieces.
So soon i will be adding more pictures.

Cacao is on his way to Australia to live with Michelle (Kelamee Bears).
He is my Summer swap bear for her (more like a Christmass swap now, but we don't care!).

Heu, SarahJane, i made Cacao in october, before I began my new job...
and I haven't found time yet to work on my bears.
I will during Christmass holidays and I should manage to find time in the new year as i will get better organised.

I sort of guess everyone missed that post in october as i got only one reply (thanks Tami).

I love that pattern for bent legs I used on Cacao and will make more bears from that same pattern.

WOW I love this one!!! Your jewelery peices are just wonderful.  Having my very own Anatole by Sophie I know how much detail goes into these wonderful bears.  Wonderful detailing that just doesnt show up in the photos.
