Hi guys, I'm back!!!
I have spent the last 4 days with no power we got it back at 2am this morning....a tree tore a power line down up the road from me...the worst of it was half of my street had power so we got to enjoy our neighbors xmas lights while we sat in the dark...sorry if that reaks of sarcasm!!!
Not to mention that Hemi sold on eBay and I had to find an internet cafe so that I could get the mailing address for the lady who bought him, although he did go out without any paper work and an IOU for the paper work once I had the computer up and running!!!
MISSED YOU ALL!!!!
off now to buy groceries to replace all that was lost in the fridge!!
Hugs,
Krista
I feel your pain and frustration. We lost power for a week in October. Half our street got power first too, luckily I live on that side of the street, but I did feel guilty when my friends house across the street was still in the dark!

Oh Krista - you poor darl!! Glad to have you back with us though!!

Oh, Krista, how awful. Just a few weeks ago we lost our power for 8 days! And I'll tell you it really sucked seeing all the neighbors with lights on! We were literally the last house in our town to get their power restored. The insurance adjustor finally came today to assess all the damages and give us a check. We were able to claim all the food in the fridge as well. I'm glad you're back and all is well!
Oh Krista, I have had my head buried in the sand and missed the news on TV. I just saw all the damage that was done in Stanley Park too. What a shame.
We had the exact same kind of storm in 2003, Hurricane Juan- as you may remember. It just came out of no where and was much worse than predicted. That was the scariest storm I've ever seen and what a disaster toour local park. It totally changes the landscape, but 3 years later it looks better, but still different. Our street was the same in that the inner loop had no power for 5 days while my side did. Everyone was running extention cords across the road to the neighbours.
Glad to hear that you areback and are o.k. , but power outages are not fun.
Krista, I have been watching your news on TV and just can't believe the bad weather that you are having! I am glad that your power is back on again and things are starting to return to normal.
Thank you so much everyone  It is so great to finally have power again, we lost everything in our fridge, but luckily we hadn't done the Costco run as we had planned!! and with the deductible on the house insurance I don't think it is worth claiming the lost food, thank goodness there was no damage to the house!!! Now I have to go and do my Xmas shopping tomorrow, most of the malls had no power as well...the only shopping left though is for my hubby so that is pretty easy, one mall, a couple of sweaters, a video game and jeans and I will be good to go!!!
Hugs,
Krista
Oh Krista - how horrible to be without power! and all the Christmas lights glowing on nearby houses. You poor Lady.
Wishing you all the best with the remainder of the Christmas presents you need to get and may your power supply be uninterrupted.
Hugs
Carolyn
Yikes, what an irritating few days you had huh? I would be lost without power. How did you stay warm? You must have used up all your candles!
