Skype is such a cool program. Don't use it much as I should but it is really good.
Ellen.... He is
!!!!
I got a mini DVD player for the car, some books (my fave presents) art calendars, an etching, the DaVinci Code game and $150.00 gift certificate for Michaels (YIPPEE!) as well as some mad money and another gift certificate for Chapters. After trying for years to get me concrete presents, they finally realized it's impossible to buy clothes and things for me - I'm way too picky, so I'm happiest with mad money for books and art supplies. Besides, isn't that what January sales are for LOL! Turns out one of my favourite things is something I bought for hubby. We both loved Cat Stevens music in the 70's, and were sad when he stopped recording. Well, he put out his first CD in 30 years, with the money going to charity. I was curious to see what he would produce today and I loooooove the CD. I've almost worn it out!
hugs,
Brenda
Ellen, i am VERY jealous! He is stunning. PLEASE give him a kiss on that gorgeous nose from me!
Ellen I missed that pictureof Jake.... don't ask me how, isn't he divine!
nae, you already know how I feel about your news, fantastic....Now what does the mother of the bride wear to a rennassance wedding?I came across a great e-bay site with rennassance trims...
We had a very very very quiet day....which was a blessing as the next few months are going to be more hectic than I am comfortable with. But once the house is here and put up and mom is happily ensconsed I guess we can breathe again...
It certainly makes me think of Daphne- alot! How goes it Miss D? Find the right house yet?
golly hugs to all-
Oh i am learning silk ribbon embroidery....to decorate golly dresses of course....
We had a nice Christmas, esp. since we were in our new home. We had DH's family over and then we went to my mom's house to be with my side. On Christmas eve, we went to church. We got a lot of nice presents. DH really surprised me with Catherine's bear, Dougal. I kept showing DH him online and finally I saw that he was adopted and Catherine told me how he went to another collector. I believed her. They were so sneaky! So I was shocked to open up Dougal on Christmas. I love him.
Daphne,
your parents look great. Riley and Tucker are so cute - Riley has gotten so big. How is house hunting going?
Christmas was pretty quite around here.
We usually don't do much.
I ran into town Christmas Eve picked up some last minute things, like the handmade pizzas from the Walmart Deli. Those are really good.
And tried to find gold stretchy cord, but no one seems to make it or carry it anymore... But regular gold cord worked.
We had cheese, pepperoni, and Hawaiian style pizza for dinner Christmas eve, then exchanged presents. We finished off the pizzas for lunch and dinner Christmas day.
Nothing too exciting, 'cause we don't really need or want anything. And most of the things that I would like are $$$$ and I really don't need them. I'll get that stuff when I make it big... LOL.
MaeLynn got a litte Merry-Go-Round that plays music and she just loved it. I bought her a Strawberry Shortcake bathset and she had to scrub eveyone clean. She also got a nice set of horses, which got washed as well. Her birthday is in a few weeks so I need to figure something out for her.
Mom is going to take us into St. Charles to go shopping, which will be fun. Just need to make a ton of bears to have money to spend.
