I hope you guys like my pictures, I've learned a lot by logging onto Teddy Talk (Lurking a lot haha) I've only been doing this for less than a year. And I recently Signed up on Teddy Talk. By coming on to this site, I've already noticed a difference in my skill and learned how to make my own designs. It's so much easier to create my own designs, than to copy from books and patterns.(I'm having a hard time with noses. To me, they are the most difficult. Sorry if their noses aren't perfect. haha)

Thank you for all you talented artists out there for sharing your wonderfuly bears and your great tips!

With lots of bear hugs!
Louise

Hi Louise,

I love Running Bear, he is just soo sweet and William made me laugh. Do not worry about noses, just practise, practise and practise. It will come with time. I hate noses too, and do mostly use ultra suede and sculpt my noses.

Wonderful!
I really love these bears.
I think my fav among the three is William.
They really are very sweet.

Concerning noses, i agree that with practice they will eventually get better and better.
The most important is that you take your time when stitching it.
Have you tried with making a template for your nose? you cut in some fabric like felt or paw pad material the shape you want to give to your nose and then either sew or glue it to the muzzle. It is easier too if you trim the muzzle part where you want to sew the nose. The sewn or gued template will help you keep the shape you want to give to your nose. I now use to sew the template so before I have entirely sewn it, I can add a bit of stuffing material (kapok) to give a better shape. Of course it depends on what you want to get as a result. That was just my two cents about it!
I realised too that when you fill the whole muzzle with kapok instead of polyester it is easier to sew the nose. Now it may depend on the different kinds of polyester materials you use!!!

Experiment!

Good luck,
Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Thank you for your tips. I will try the templates, i havent tried that. And the felt. When I do the noses, i noticed that I tend to over embroyed them. I have to learn to stop when I need to. Again, thank you ladies so very much!

Love,
Louise

Wow, some cute bears! My favorite is the white one.
And yes, noses will get better with practice. Just do them nice and slow, don't get impatient. Every stitch counts.

Thanks for showing us your work!
