Please remember, those of you who've been around TT for awhile, that newbies do not know every subject we've posted about.  Nor would they necessarily think to look in the library.  Posting a link to the library and saying we've already talked about that subject may be deflating to newbies.

Food for thought.   bear_flower

Thank you Aleta.  Oh my gosh, the library is FULL of amazing info and I've read so many old post soaking it all up, but there are new answers to every question.  Answers coming from old timers and newbies alike.  New twists on old techniques are happening everyday. Keeping things fresh, exciting and welcoming is KEY. Don't want to get stale and boring out here with no one revisiting previous topics:)  We couldn't have covered it all already...we're good, but not that good bear_grin
Plus, the library isn't the easiest thing to sift through when many of the titles have zip-nada- nothing to do with the content of the post and searches don't pull all threads all the time.

Thank YOU, Chrissie!  You touched on the point I was trying to make but fumbled with.  .......welcoming is key.

I've looked in the library on several occassions and, more often times than not, been frustrated.  I've even been sent links a time or two and been frustrated that the link had nothing to do with my original question.

Warmest bear hugs,

I've thought of that too, Aleta.  It's not very welcoming and doesn't encourage us to get to know the newbies either.  And, Chrissie, you're right, there's always something new and with new people on all the time, a new thread might reveal good tips.

Good point Aleta.  Also, sometimes it's good to revisit themes we've already covered because then we can hear new views and experiences from the people that have joined TT since the initial subject was raised! bear_thumb

You are quite right Aleta - consider me suitably chastised.  Don't worry, I wasn't at all offended - it takes a bit more than that bear_original   After all, not everyone reads each and every post - at least I don't, and perhaps some others may want to post their first bears.  Mine was just so awful that the less it is seen the better

I have just figured out how to use these little "smiles" - I know, I'm a very slow learner - they're lot of fun!
Have a great week everyone.

Yes it's great to hear new views on old subjects...and anyway as someone who could talk for England I think there is always room for more chat!!

Dilu, I was thinking the very same words when reading Aleta´s post
Aleta, yes, you´re right, it might put some people off.
Even though some links do include answers to the original questions, they open up even more questions and then start becoming confusing. bear_cry
Maybe we could set up a thread of a step by step tutorial for complete beginners...
