Perhaps what's needed here is a polar bear swim!! This is what it looks like at my house right now. Snow in the palm trees and in the pool!! Oh, winter.....be over with already!!
Warmest bear hugs,
Aleta
Noooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! I want me some of that - we're having the HOTTEST summer on record, and I'm tired of it.     Aleta, mail some this way!!!!!!!!!!!
It's been over 100F for days and isn't going to let up!
Danni
Even in the BRRRRRRRRRRRR dead of winter your yard is beautiful. But I agree...enough with the Winter already...give me some sunshine...now quite as much as Danni but some sun already!!! I'm shivering along with the palm trees. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Oh Danni, I agree with you 100%. I live in Adelaide, and we have had such an awful hot summer, it is so tiring and exhausting, and also not very comfortable for bearmaking. Aletas garden, with all its icy glory, looks like a magical wonderland to me, and it is such a treat being able to see it whilst my poor little body is dripping with perspiration. Any snow photos are eye candy!!
Hey, that's pretty! Although a swim would be out of the question...
wow...looks like a luxury resort... enjoy the beauty....
It looks like we'll be stranded up here for a day or two more. They've just said on the news that the road leading up to our house has been closed as it is one of the most dangerous roads in Clackamas County. Drats!! I knew we should have stopped at the grocery store for milk last night. No milk for coffee?!!!!
NO LATTE'S?!!!
Warmest bear hugs,
Aleta
Oh, Aleta, your yard is gorgeous, even with the snow--or should I say, especially with the expertly applied artistic blanket of snow! I have missed palm trees; it was a treat to see them in California over Christmas when we visited our parents. No milk? Well, maybe it's time for a cuppa tea--my favorite!
Stay warm!
Your poor poor palm trees!
Do you think they'll pull out of it? Or are they toasted from the snow?
Hubby tried to bring up a news video today of Portland. The video link never did come up, but we could hear the audio Soooo many vehicles hitting together it sounded like gunfire!!
YIKES!!! Please stay safely at home til this stuff thaws
Danni, I'll share some of my ice with you  Ahhhh, I think 100*F heat would feel good right about now. It would certainly help to shift this headcold.
Gee, well YOU can have it! TRUST ME!! It's no fun. What's the bet, one or two days with it, you'll be sending it back LOL
Danni
Looks pretty, but tell ya the truth, I'm TIRED of the snow, we have had snow on the ground here for a month. Suppose to get more this weekend.
I feel so sorry for all the animals, Colorado has lost tons of cattle. They were dropping hay from airplanes trying to feed them all. It is sad. We have tons of rabbits around here that can't get to the grass, I have been cutting up apples and feeding them They love it!!!

Danni
 LOL You're right Danni...I'm sure I'd be wanting to shift it elsewhere, especially after my cold cleared up I don't envy you the heat one bit. That stuff is extremely exhausting.
TamiL I've heard about the poor livestock in Colorado... I'm sure the bunnies are ever so grateful for your kind offers of food.
Ahh Aleta,
15 degrees this am and snow all day.....and we weren't supposed to get it you were!
SOUTHERN oregon's dilu
I am not complaining!! I love the weather, it has been -degrees for two weeks. snow and more snow coming.
I LOVE winter!!! not so fond of driving in it but it sure beats 110 degrees in the shade!!!
for those of you not enjoying it sorry
any weather in MODERATION is nice!! but as i live in Vt there is no such a thing!
we finally have snow on the ground and after 40 degree weather for this long it feels like 30 below brrr! 50 car accidents the first day! took us over an extra hour both days this week to get to work! this morning we did about 20 miles an hr for 45 mins and sucked exhaust fumes the whole way!! ugh!! people are still putting on their snow tires!! i dont know wether to laugh or cry! but we dont have any palm trees!! do have cream! i can sympathize with no milk,,ugh black coffee,,,:):):) deb
Your garden looks so beautiful Aleta, but yet must be so cold!
I hope that you have managed to get some milk for your lattes.
Stay warm.
Hugs
Carolyn

Well Danni, here in Minnesota, we finally got a bit cold. It was -10 degrees F this morning. I had to pull out the "big gun" coat (heavy down filled coat). We have a lovely coat of snow too. We are use to it here. Up until now it has been down-out-right-spring-like....
For all our teddy bear friends in Australia, I do not envy your heat. I'll take the cold any day....I wish you cooler weather, snow if you like....
Aleta, It reminds me of yesterday when I looked out the kitchen window into the back yard to see the doves walking cross my pool, slipping and sliding. No snow but it is colder than .... well you know what I mean.
Sonya
Danni, come visit me, you'll cool off nicely here.
Aleta, as bad as it is, I'm soo jealous of your yard, and house probably too! Looks very nice
I know darn well now I've typed that it will get cold, the winds will blow a gale and before long I'll be up to my neck in snow....message to me, keep your mouth closed. SIGH!
Hugs Jane.
he he Jane, I too should probably keep quiet but it's been sooo mild over here in Belgium too, we've had no frosts and no snow all winter so far... I've even got some of my spring flowering shrubs full of buds and starting to flower, this doesn't usually happen until late feb/march time! YIKES, I hope we don't get a frost now, it'll zap them all! Everyone in the snow, keep safe and anyone that's too hot can always join me here too
hugs
