I'm so happy for you Tracey that your worst fears have been dissolved.
I still think that your hubby should have a bit of R&R time though. Can the doctor not sign him off work for a week or so, that way he can fully recupperate and its illegal to go back to work if you have been signed off. Something to do with health and safety and the companies insurance!!!
Anyway Big Hugs
Claire
Oh sweetie, I am late on seeing this and am so happy for you both that it isn't something more serious
Tracy, good to hear your Hubby has been given some better News, make sure he slows down a bit.
Hooray . . . yippee!!
Glad you had some good news Tracy- gosh what was work thinking talking him into work like that? I bet it was men who did it
Tracey
My preys and thoughts are with you. It is worring when something is happening to a love one and you have no answers.
You take care of your self
I just saw your post today, I'm glad your husband is on the road to recovery! The not knowing can be very scary.
Kathleen
Thanks guys! It is a huge relief for both of us.....now maybe we can relax! The past few days neither one of us has slept well at all, and today (after the good news) I had a 2 1/2 hour nap! Think maybe I needed it!
Darren's job is really ridiculous about how they treat their employees.......in fact, if he really had a serious, ongoing problem, they probably would have fired him sooner or later (would have found some excuse). They just don't care......period! Doctor's release or no, he would have been penalized eventually, which is a large part of why he did go to work I think. It's hard to explain this, as I don't understand it perfectly myself, but even if someone is gone due to illness and using the sick time coming to them (which Darren did) they somehow knock points off that affects a person's ratings and then directly affects their commission........it can add up to a large chunk of pay lost. And most of Darren's income is from commissions. I don't know how they can get by with that, and some of the other things they do, but Darrein says they can because it is a commission wage and not hourly. It must be bordering on illegal with the fair labor laws that are in place. I wish he didn't work there anymore as it is getting worse all the time, but right now there isn't another option. Hopefully he can find another job soon. Boy, I could go on and on about this place.......they even fired a young, single mom a while back because her kids were sick and this caused her to miss more than her allotted sick time. And they don't just fire someone, they wait until they come in to work, call them in the office, and then escort them to the door in front of everyone. Like a crime's been committed or something! The young mother they fired couldn't even go back to her desk to get her purse.....someone had to go get it for her. And no, this isn't a secret government type of job, or anything even close.........they sell home warranties!
And it was a man who called him the other day........Darren's immediate supervisor is the only man in that position there and he's the one who called.
Oh Tracy, that is WONDERFUL news!!!!!!!!!!!!
Danni
Tracy, sorry that I just read this post today !!!!
I'm glad to hear that your husband are diagnosed and hope he will get better soon...
Tracy - Darren's company sounds terrible. My cousin lives in Chicago and I now that you guys have it tougher out there when it comes to holiday and sickness.
I now appreciate my company so much more, who are easy going and very helpful !!!
Anyway hope Darren feels back to normal soon and that he finds a wonderful job not long after !!!
Hugs to you both
Claire
Tracy, I;m so glad it turned out to be nothing TOO serious!
I hope he's back to normal in no time!
Tracy, I'm late on this too, but so glad to hear it worked out. That company sounds terrible. I hear these stories from the US and can not understand why it is like that. I mean, sure, we pay the highest taxes in the world, but in exchange there is no limit on the number of sick days (although a 10-20% pay cut) and a minimum of 5 weeks of vacation (7 for state employees, but lower salaries). Health care is free (well, some limited fees apply, but that's nothing in comparison). Everybody gets sick, even the boss, right? Would they rather have somebody with an infection go to work and transmit it to everybody? Have him cough on his boss, maybe that'll teach him. That poor mom. Things like that are illegal in Sweden and they should be everywhere! I hope he will find a better job soon.
Tracy, I´m glad that health wise the situation sounds good, but honestly, Darren is probably not really happy in his job.
WHat you described above sounds really like from a bad movie!
I wish you 2 all the best!
Gaby
Good news Tracy!! Glad to hear things are up!
