... or so I've been told by wonderful, TOBY-nominated artist Lora Soling whose work I adore. Her lovely CYBELLE was one of the earliest pieces in my personal collection and though I've tried to nab her work since then, I'm just never quick enough. She sells out in minutes!
She wrote me to share the list as she knows I'm sitting on pins and needles, along with the entire TEDDY TALK community. Lora tells me this list is absolutely "the real thing" and comes directly from Sarah Peterson, the Managing Editor at Teddy Bear Review. I trust her implicitly.
Lora, by the way, nominated for a TOBY this year, is -- like me, and Sue Ann, and so many others in the TOBY competition this year -- not a nominee herself for the Golden Teddy award. Which just goes to show you, once again, that unbelievably great, technically masterful, and drop-dead gorgeous work is, for whatever reason, sometimes left off the nominee list. So if you're not on the GT list for 2007 and feel some disappointment about that, let Lora's grace and joy for others be a great model for you!
There will be screams of delight for many a Teddy Talker upon reading this list and I have to say, I couldn't be happier for the screamers. I'm screaming a bit myself. Yay!
If you haven't yet been notified by phone or email -- like me -- and this list will be a SPOILER for you, please don't read the following post. I have to assume they still plan to notify nominees personally somehow, whether by phone, email, or snail mail.

Now that I've calmed down and got over the shock - just wanted to say thanks Shelli for posting the list. I've certainly been waiting and wondering, especially as some people have heard personally already and others haven't - seems a bit strange - but never mind, I'm thrilled!
Congatulations to other TTers who are also nominated. Its great to see TT so well represented again. What a talented bunch of people we have here!!
My nominated bears are my 'Moonbeam' panda who is also nominated for a TOBY, and 'Alice' who was also my christmas challenge bear here on TT (so appears in the challenge gallery if anyone is curious). Can't wait to see all the other nominees.
