For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
Hi all, I was going through the wonderful pictures of creations on the Intercal site looking at allllllllllllll of the different types of Mohair........gezzzzzzzzzzzz I have not even scratched the surface. Heirloom Finish, vintage, Curly, Straight!!!
I have really enjoyed using a 1" Curly Mattted finish I bought awhile back, didnt know if I would like it when I first received it, but really loved the way it turned out. Have a few Alpaca pieces but have not used them much, I want to design a rabbit soon maybe I will try using the
Alpaca.
Sue Ann............ most of those gorgeous creations on the Intercal site is yours!!!! Boy you have made some cuties.
Whoa . . . thanks so very much, Tami!! Yep, I've been sending photos to Intercal for several years now - I use tons of their great fur. I use alpaca a lot when I'm making all fours bears . . . it's so lush and thick that it just seems right for a more realistic bear. Thanks again for the nice compliment!
Hello Tami !
It's hard to pick 1mohair but my NEW favorite is KID3(3/4" kid mohair).
It's beautifully shining and very soft.
I use them for my 7" size bears but it's
3/4" long so you could use for large bears too! I saw Intercal having KID3 on Weekly Sale now. yay!
Good luck for finding your favorite mohair !!
hugs
Marie
Well, it USED to be mohair, but I've just finished an alpaca bear and I'm hooked. Now alot of my mohair just seems scatchy.
thick curly black-makes great golly hair! And is currently on sale right here at good Ol' Intercal!

I work with the short, sparse mohair most of the time. However, my mood determines what my favorite is at the moment. I recently made a bear with some alpaca scraps. That was my favorite until I finished the next bear with a short, dense mohair. I guess what I'm saying is, I love it all.
