My niece called me up from Chico, California and said their choir is raising money to get to New York City for a concert. She asked if I would make a bear for their silent auction.
This is what I came up with to commemorate the event...
• red and gold school colors
• red gown with flower embroidered, I was trying to represent the California poppy, not sure how successful that was, oh well
• CHS on the front panels for Chico High School, the back has NYC
• an apple on the top of the pendant for "the big apple"
• a choir book with musical notes, I drew the notes. Used two fabrics with double-sided fusing (gawd I love that stuff)
• a red beaded hairpiece (I was trying to make a rose because my nieces name is Rose)
• pendant has the year
Jennifer, I absolutely love your precious little bears and their platforms (I don't really know what to call the stands you put them on) The bears themselves have a wonderful simplicity and charm and the little displays you create for them are delightful!!!
Aaaaaah Jennifer, this little girlie is delightful!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
What a lovely little one Jennifer
as always
