It is a beautiful almost spring like day today and I just had a look in my garden and the first of my daffodils is out in bud - how wonderful to see that little yellow head  bear_original   Once I get more out I'll take some photos to show you.  YIpeee Spring is on the way    Has anyone else noticed that Spring is coming earlier this year?

It sure is Catherine, the trees are flowering at least one month early and what's even more strange is that one plant in my garden always sheds it's leaves hasn't and now new leaf buds are forming.
That's global warming for you!

Hugs Jane.  bear_thumb  bear_flower  bear_thumb

I know things have gone strange, we usually have nothing at this time of year as we are so high up but Ive noticed a couple of daffodils almost there and my snowdrops have been and almost gone already.  I did have a couple of roses on New Year's day which was very unusual - I sent a photo to the local news channel on tv.  Looks like we may be in for a hot summer.

Warm wishes

Hey Catherine...
a penny just dropped....did you know that your letter to the BarReport has appeared in the current issue, along with a couple of pics of your bears? I KNEW they looked familiar.....
And yes - it's very spring-like here - all sorts of wildflowers appearing, and birds beginning to nest.....very odd - we are usually still wading round in snow!

oooooo Maria, YES please - I had NO idea that my bears were going to appear.  I had sent an email some time back but never heard from them so didn't think they were interested!  I'd LOVE to see a scan pleaseeeee

Jane - I too have had quite a few plants keep their leaves all winter, I also had a rose still flowering at Christmas!

Hmmmm  I'm jealous, no early spring here yet  bear_angry ,  my front garden is still covered with about 4 feet of snow.  It will happen eventually I know, but it is a lot warmer today and the rest of the week is suppose to be nice.

big hugs

Oooh....I love it when the spring flowers appear.  I too have flowers starting to bloom...crocus & snowdrops.  My daffodils and tulips are all above ground...no blooms yet.  My bleeding hearts are starting to peek though the ground as well as a bunch of other stuff.

Now it needs to quit raining so hard otherwise they are all going to float right out of the ground and down the creek.   bear_tongue
