My grandma had surgery yesterday morning for a total knee replacement, and I thought she would be so tickled to receive get well wishes here that I can print off for her.  She came through the surgery very well, but is naturally uncomfortable despite the wonderful pain control methods that are being used for her. ( She even has a nerve block in place on the leg the work was done on! :thumbsup:)  Her mental discomfort is somewhat more of a worry to us than the physical though.  She has Alzheimer's, and the strange surroundings are difficult for her to deal with, causing anxiety and some confusion.    Anyway, hoping you all could write something here for her to help cheer her up.  I can't go with my mother to see her today, but will be going the next two days.  I would love to take a printed page or two to her then........pretty please!!

PS-- Her name is Alma!

:hug:  :hug:  :hug: Oh thanks so much everyone!!!  This is wonderful......Grandma will just love it!!  

I wasn't able to go visit her today as my youngest was home sick again, but I will be going in the morning.  I have printed everything (ended up with 11 pages!!!!! ) and it's ready to take to her......I can't wait! :dance:

Mom has kept me updated on Grandma's progress, and she is doing very well.  Better than was expected for a woman of 82 years!  One minor problem today though, that could have been a major one.  She forgot she wasn't to get up alone, and tried to walk to the bathroom on her own.  And fell....right on the new knee.    Fortunately, there was no damage done other than a little bruising.  She is needing more pain meds now though.  The hospital has her on fall risk, but they cannot be there with her every minute.  I think Mom said she put a sign up for her, where she can easily see it, to remind her to wait for help.  That should work. :thumbsup:
