I usually thread joint my crocheted bear and use a cotter pin in the head but I believe you should be able to joint the limbs just like a sewn bear.

It helps if you can pre-shape your body profile to create leg sockets, so that the legs fit into the body instead of looking like they're stuck onto the hips, like a cowboy or an alligator might walk. Darts in the body or 4 piece bodies do this in fabric bears. This body is needle felted but a crocheted bear can assume this shape too, by the way you stuff it and a stitsch or 2 to draw in the sides.
Pulling tightly on the leg-joining threads will set them right into the body.
Through the shoulders you want very firm stuffing, in the body & upper arms, so that the upper body doesn't collapse or squeeze together when you pull tightly on those jointing threads.
The tightest thread joints will be made through each set of limbs separately, though if you'd like slightly wobbly joints you can thread join the head, legs & arms all with the same thread.
I angle the thread slightly upwards in the limb parts so that they pull the arms and legs into more natural positioning after knotting off.
Watch that you go back into the same hole on the outside of the limbs so you don't create a dimple there. In Needle Felting, we can cover that inadvertent spot with a bit more wool!
And before knotting off, check that the threads slide smoothly inside the body and the limbs. If you've sewn through the threads going in the other direction, you won't be able to tighten the joints as much as you need, and the threads may break under the pressure.
