Hi fellow TT's! Well I have been married to the old fart for 34 years this November. Just a baby when I married him.
That in it self is reason to celebrate, but I am so proud of him today.
Garnet is a Electrician and has been for 22 years. Oh and of course a bear designer and maker for many years too.
But today he has accepted an Instructors position with one of the most prestigious technical training institutions in North America (N.A.I.T) for a teaching positon in the Electrical Apprenticeship Department. Wow a huge cooties! for Garnet! (maybe not the right word, hmmm, a nose comes to mind) But you know what I mean!
Well the only down side is that it is a huge drop in pay, but oh such an opportunity for him.
So it looks like our little bear business had better get a cracken.
Go Honey Go!
Hugs Louise
Wow, that's great Louise. It's wonderful that he is able to share his knowledge with others now.
I know you can sell those extra bears you need no problem!
Dear Louise, Is he the "sparky" that adds the sparkle to your bears !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How proud you both must be , I wish him well in his new career .
Lynette
Congratulations to you Garnet, I hope you will be very happy in you new job.
Hugs Jane.
A big congratulations! Louise, I don't think you will have a problem selling your bears. The challenge probably will be whether you can make them fast enough. Your bears are wonderful.
Well done Garnet a huge congratulations at such a wonderful opportunity!! Louise I don't think you'll have any trouble selling more of those beautiful bears of yours!!!
 Oh that's just fabulous!!!!! I am a firm believer that teaching is one of the most meaningful occupations that someone can devote their lives too. Hope the decrease in pay doesn't pinch you guys too much... Why, oh why don't we pay our teachers MORE!? Seriously, look how much "we" pay baseball players, doctors, etc..... Sometimes it takes 1/2 a lifetime to develop the knowledge and skill that it REALLY takes to teach in one's area of expertise, and then we "dock" them in pay when they are willing to share those skills and knowledge with another generation!?
That makes my blood boil! Sorry for the mini-rant Louise... I just wish that was different! Give Garnet a big congratulatory hug from me!

Sooooo congratulations for the wonderful Hubby !! And I pray money just comes your way !! How nice to have a wonderful Hubby ... thats priceless !!!
Oh WOW Louise!!!! Please tell Garnet "congratulations" for me!!
What wonderful news Louise! We have a couple of friends that teach at NAIT and they love it! I hope the lack of financial perks is balanced out by personal satisfaction of sharing his knowledge with others.
Cheryl
Congratulations that is brilliant news - and never mind the drop in salary, money isn't everything. You only get one crack at life and you have to do what makes you happy as much as you can.
Warm wishes
Pauline
Congratulations to Garnet on his new position. I hope he enjoys it as much as you expect he will. Is the training school near where you live now or will you be moving?
Congratulations to Garnet, Louise . . . that's wonderful news! Never fear - your babies are terrific and you won't have any problems selling even more of them!
Louise that is fantastic news  Congratulations Garnet  You both must be so proud.

A BIG Congrats to your hubby! Yeah..thats great news. Sometimes you have to take a step backwards in pay in order to move forward, but it all works out in the end!
Im proud to say my oldest son, who is 19 and just graduated from HS last year, just got accepted into the Electrical Apprenticeship program here in Seattle. He has been working as a "half watt" for about 6 months and decided to take the steps to move forward towards his career goal....yeah! I'm so proud of him!!
Good Luck to you Garnet in your new job!
Bear Hugs,
Kim
