Hmmmm do What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? and Sunset Boulevard count as chick flicks?  I love Crazy Old Bat movies. But closer to topic, I love Fried Green Tomatoes and The Color Purple.

So far there have been lots of my favorites mentioned.  Dirty Dancing, Legally Blonde, Sleepless etc.

How about, any verstion of Little Women, Jane Ayre or the King & I there was one a few years ago with Chow Yum Fat & Jodie Foster called "Anna & the King". It wasn't very popular but I loved it!

Phantom too.

I woun't qualify it as a Chick Flick but I gotta watch "True Lies" any time it is on

How funny, Amy, I love "True Lies," too!

My all-time favorite movie and musical is "My Fair Lady." Seen it dozens of times. And I've been told that, for better or for worse, I AM Sally in "When Harry Met Sally."

Otherwise, I'm all about the romantic comedy, including all the Hugh Grant and Meg Ryan flicks previously mentioned. You might also try:

While You Were Sleeping
Shakespeare In Love
Much Ado About Nothing (with Emma Thompson)
Never Been Kissed
Ever After
Hitch
How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days
Chocolat (mmm, Johnny Depp)
LA Story
50 First Dates
Somewhere in Time

Hugh Grant fans, in addition to those previously mentioned:
Two Weeks' Notice
Four Weddings and a Funeral
Sense & Sensibility

Sense & Sensibility is a great movie but there isn't enough of Hugh in it!!! I've still watched it many, many times!

How To Loose a Guy in 10 Days, great movie! In fact, Mindy, all great ones!

On Golden Pond was filmed in my neck of the woods, Sue Ann! It's indeed a very good movie!

It's a rainy, raw day here... I could curl up on the couch with tea and watch every single one of these movies! But alas, bears must be made and hubby is home. I really hope he finds a job soon! I love him to pieces but it's true what they say... 'distance makes the heart grow fonder'!

Ooh!  I have to add LOVE, ACTUALLY.  Haven't seen it mentioned here yet.  It's really a wonderful, rich movie about relationships.  And I really liked HITCH, too!  Very funny and sweet and very much about relationships, defining it as a chick flick!

If you like You've Got Mail (one of my all time favorites) see the original from 1940....The Shop Around the Corner...it's cute to see the original concept (Jimmy Stewart).  For the oldies but goodies I LOVE ..The Way We Were and Bare Foot in the Park ( I LOVE robert redford)..and of course Breakfast at T's.  Newer flicks that haven't' been mentioned yet ( I don't think)....

50 first dates, Duplex, Ever After....(Drew Barrymore is too cool)...Along came Polly..(I can watch over and over)

Twister ...I think of it as an empowering chick flick bear_grin

edit....YEP saw that lots were already mentioned!! bear_grin

Kim I too like , "What ever happened to Baby Jane", for some strange reason, do you know , that to this day, I will not walk in front of a car with someone behind the wheel and the engine running, my husband thinks it's so wierd.      bear_ermm LOL

Claire, I do like the new version, but the series just seems to do it for me, I seem to want to compare the two, which isn't really fair, the old one is about 10 hours long and the new one is about 2 .
