I've been cranking out some non-teddy bear stuff for Nevada City, to round out my table with a variety of wares. Here's a peek at some of it!
First are some "Captured Teddies" -- a teddy-related take on the "capture jar fairies" that were featured in Somerset Studio recently. I can't remember if I've posted these here already. If so, sorry for the boring repeat!
Next, I made some magnet boards out of galvanized steel bits, magnets, patterned paper, paints & pens, and photos of my bears. There are six magnets per board and they're all different (seven magnets if you count the label at the top!)
Last, my favorites... six "IMPS" that I made by printing the face of my art doll, FLEUR, onto cotton, then stitching it to four different funky body patterns -- bear, rabbit, kitty, and imp. Tim, hubby, liked the rabbit and kitty best, so there are two of those. I kinda hope they don't sell so I can keep them! Not exactly great business strategy, that!!!
What imaginative, fun, and funky critters!! I love them, Shelli!! I like the two at the far right the best. Oh, but then there is the bear with the blanket stitched ears too.I love the faces.
I see you're a night owl too. (I guess it's not so late in California as it is here right now, though.)
Hi Shelli
That is really a great idea.
I just love all of it.
And especialy thoose 'imps' that you won´t sell.
I would love to own one.
IF you were selling them - what would the price be then?

Smething for all to learn from, its and excellent idea to have other wares on your table when at a show- this normally gets people curios, which then gets other people curios and once you have people at your table Voila!!!
thats the name of the game
Shel they all look delightful

HOW CREATIVE ARE YOU!! I like the one with the star hat on
How cool and creative are you?!!! The Imps are imaginative and whimsical and just plain fun!! Save the one on far right for me!!
Warmest hugs,

P.S. You had to know I was going to fall in love with a cat!!
i am so excited to meet you!! i will be all by my lonesome at the table...i hope i have nice neighbors that might watch my table for minute so i can get a chance to wander for a bit...the imps are so lovely!!! i want to squish one in person!
Teresa, I'm so excited to meet YOU, too! And don't think for a moment that it swept past me that you offer pouches and critters and all kinds of other stuff on your website. One great idea (yours) begets another. Obviously I didn't lift your offerings straight away (last time I checked you don't have jar bears and imps!), but my idea of expanding from just bears to other stuff was in part inspired by people like you, who offer different items across their branding. So, thanks for the inspiration! I'll be shaking your hand when we meet!
I'll be the slightly chubby, enthusiastic graying blonde exhibitor, with the bearded guy playing digital Sudoku by my side.
Oh wow Shelli. The enthusiasm you have for so many different crafts is inspiring! I'd be wanting to set those fairies free tho Good luck at the show!!
Love your IMPS! Their faces are so original!!!!
..I lost my post here. Shelli, I really adore the PBAI [PotBelly Arts Imps] especially the one with the star---they are all awesome! And the bears in the jar are charming---and the magnets are uber cool! You should put up an etsy store for 'em!
Am certain they will sell like hot cakes at the show!

Excellent!! Those 'IMPS' are gorgeous!! They made me smile! I love the bunnies and the kitties best too! (mind you, I would love to have one myself).
Very nice, Shelli! What great ideas! I wish that I could be there to see them all in person. Best of luck at the show. Best of luck to you also, Teresa, and anyone esle that is going.
