OK I just finished one of the most touching books I have ever read, "Marley and me" is a must for anyone that Loves dogs, but boy oh boy, will you cry , a good cry but when you do read it, set a box of hankies beside you.
here is my review:
I have it but haven't read it yet!!! Must get to it!! Thanks for the warning Jodi, will make sure tissues are handy
hugs,
Krista
I love that book!
Yes I have, I loved it but very sad.
My father n law lost his lab about the same time the book came out and we bought it for him.
I think it helped him with his grief!
A must read for any animal lover for sure!
My husband started this book right after we lost our Lab in August...I don't know how he got through it, but he said it was a fantastic book. He even got teared up with it and then parts of the book reminded him so much of our Lab. The book is still with his reading stuff next to the bed but I can't bring myself to read it yet...the cover alone makes me think of my Shelby and gets me a little teary. I still miss my doggie too much
The whole time I had Shelby I always said I should write a book....some of the things this dog did and we did together....oh boy...someday I'll read this one

My husband would read the book at lunch and when it got to the tear jerker part he had to shut his office door, because it made him tear up too. I think it's a real mans book.
Oh, I love Marley and Me. I read it when it first came out. We'd just lost our little black Scottie boy, Hugo. It's a wonderful book and anyone who's ever had a dog can relate to the behaviors. I laughed at times... til I got toward the end. I cried for days just thinking about it. It's really a wonderful story.
Haven't read the book but saw the author and his wife and daughter on an animal trainer type show...they spoke about Marley and the fact that without him there woul d have been no book. They have a new dog...same breed.... and other problems.. lol
This one won't come when called and so they are working with several trainers to get it on track and also have tossed in some hunting skills as that is what the dogs are bred for.... and it seems they just aren't happy when they don't get to do their life's work... The owner's laughingly admit they are the ones that need the training....
My daughter got this for me and I started it.... this is the ONLY time I've read the end of a book first!!! I knew it would be sad and wanted to get that over with...
That's funny what Marleys owner said and how true
I love Marley and Me. Has anyone read Amazing Gracie: A Dog's Tale ? You will fall in love with her, just like Marley. Another one, Zamba: The True Story of the Greatest Lion that Ever Lived is just as wonderful. Buy a case of kleenex for both.

I'll have to get 2 boxes, it's funny how books can make you bawl, has anyone ever read the childrens book "I love you forever" I think it's the correct title, I tried reading it to my son when he was little and I started crying and couldn't finish it, I think I scarred him.
Veronica, that was Ceasar Millan, the Dog Whisperer... I saw that episode too.
Laura, you are too funny!
Everyone: I have two copies of this book.... anyone want a copy? I have yet to bring myself to reading past the first 20 pages or so though I identified with so much in those words with what we go through with out own dogs. I WILL finish the book when I'm ready to cry for days!
Jodi: "I love you forever"..... I was babysitting for my best friend's little boy and that was the book he handed me to read to him at nap time. I cried! Thankfully he was only 15 months and didn't notice! I don't have kids but can just imagine how strong those words are to a parent!
who else thinks Ceasar Millan is hot? my bad,
please don't anyone tell me he is like 23 or something and make me feel creepy for saying that
Jodi, I dunno, I go for the tall, blue-eyed, fair skin type myself! (Hugh Grant)
