Hey Guys & Gals...

There is a little boy named Shane Bernier who lives a couple hours away from me in Lancaster Ontario. When he was five years old, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. After some treatments, he was told that he had gone into remission, but they were continuing his treatments to make sure it didn't come back. On June 6th, 2006 after 108 of the 130 necessary treatments, Shane and his family received some bad news...He had had a relapse, it was back. His one wish is to receive as many birthday cards from as many people around the world as he can. His goal is to get into the Guinness Book of World Records. Currently he has received 125,000 cards from people all around the world, but this is still FAR below the number needed to make it into the Guinness Book. His birthday is on May 30th and he will be turning eight years old. If anyone can help, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

I think is great. My daughter 5th grade teacher just got getting all of the kids to send handmade cards to Shane. I hope he has many more wonderful birthdays.

Not long ago I sent a card to a little boy, from Australia who was terminally ill, in much the same situation and it must be a boost to get
mail from all around the world.
