Does anyone have any tips on making a bear look younger? I know about using larger eyes for the head, but the babies I've seen all have such different proportions: I'd love to know how to make the changes!

(Shore of writing BABY on them in big letters, of course  bear_wacko )

LOTS bigger eyes, Eyes closer to the nose and wide spaced, shorter muzzle

bear_laugh thanks, Sonya: I see your tips in play in your avatar bear! Do you change to body proportions too, or just the face?

A somewhat larger head, feet and paws in relation to the smaller body size will often help too....

bear_original Thanks veronica... do you need to scale down the arm/leg lengths too, or are they ok?

I just looked at your 'baby bear' on your webbie: what an adorable face he has! An then your baby Joey... what plaintive expressions bear_original

I do make the head a bit larger and shorten the legs a lot and the arms a little and make the belly chubbier.

hey Chloe....it is strange.... sometimes trial and error produces exactly what u are looking for.  I checked out Joey as I still have him..and his head is not large in comparison to his body..and his arms are long...but legs are pretty short...hahhaha.... pretty funny overall...but maybe it is just his floppy jointed head and the face that does it for him.
I often make up a quickie from some felt scraps to see what it might look like... then make up the real thing in mohair....

Thanks Veronica bear_laugh I think you're right; it is just the expression on him! I've been making up practise patterns with some old faux fur, but it's so thick and cotted I have to put in more effort than for doing the real versions XD maybe felt will be better...

Thanks again! x
