At a time when the whole of Europe and much of the rest of the world is traumatised by the abduction of little Madeleine McCann I just can't imagine what her parents are feeling right now.
Please let's hope against hope that she is found soon and that all this anguish will end for her family...
Let's hope the police work extra hard to get her back...

YorkshireThank you Jenny for creating this post. My thoughts have been with Madeleine and her family since I first heard the news of her abduction. I have two girls and one is the same age as this little girl. I can only imagine what her parents are going through.

Little Madeleine McCann was abducted from a holiday apartment on a family orientated resort in the Algarve, Portugal on the 3rd of May. It's been 9 days since she went missing and her frantic parents must be more distraught today than ever because today is her 4th birthday.
I just can't believe why these monstrous people do this sort of thing to families..why ? I look at my grand-daughters know how precious all children are and my heart goes out to this family. We can't begin to imagine what they are feeling and how much pain they are in.
I truly hope from the bottom of my heart that there is a happy ending to this terrible time...

Posts: 1,836My husband and I were just talking about this while driving home from the grocery store. I can't even begin to imagine what her family is going through. It's just not the same world anymore. I'm praying for this little one's safe return to her family.

I know we all feel a sense of horror when these things happen ,as they do more often than we know. I just wish that the justice systems were more strenuous in punishing the perpetrators of such dreadful crimes. Here in the UK they seem to get nurse-maided for their time behind bars. The victims are only the ones who genuinely suffer...I have my own thoughts on what should be done with these vile people ( I don't even think they are people..and I won't call them animals either because animals would never behave like that..it's an insult to animals!!) ...but I won't write them down here....
dusty attic bearsI have been watching this on the TV for days and it is truely terrible.My little girl will be 4 next week end so is the same age as Madeleine and it makes me feel sick to my stomach.Firstly for the family and also the little girl she must be so scared.I agree with you Jenny, I could think of a few things that could be done to these monsters that hurt children.

I can't even start to imagine the nightmare and horror that this family is going through. I just hope and pray that this darling little girl is found well and returned to the arms of her parents really soon. I hope they catch the beast (beasts) that have taken her and punish them with life in prison and I mean life not a few years like life seems to mean now.

I too, like many of you, have watched this on the news everyday. Each day I have hoped I would turn on the TV to find out she had been found safely - but still nothing. You just cannot begin to comprehend how her parents and family must be feeling. Its just too awful.
