Your wish is my command...
"Hello, Shantell...can I come out and play...Mamma is busy right now...hurry before she notices I'm missing."
"Oh...me too, me too...don't forget me!!!" Hurry hurry....
(seriously...this is TWO different kittens...I can barely tell them "apart)
Little babies starting to play. You can see them turning into mini predators...pouncing on each other AND momma Skippy's feet. (Which is where the other two little hooligans were the entire time I was doing these pictures.)
"Oooh...what's this big thing we can hide in...isn't this fun!!! Let's stay in here, Marmalade (little orange kitten) and attack the others when they come back...or take a nap."
They are growing so fast. They really aren't very big...they still fit in the palm of my hand. Tomorrow I'm going to find a smaller litterbox and start litterbox training...it's time already. They can't quite get in the one I have...it's too tall. I need a shallower one.
Enjoy!!!
Edit: I've added a couple photos in Post # 11.
Shantell,
Omigosh! They are soooo cute! Look at those little faces!
Is Aleta going to be adopting one? Y'all are both in beautiful Oregon! Lucky ducks!
-Eliza
I can just smell that "Kitten Smell" and feel those sharp little kitten nails!
They are growing so fast!
Tell Tigerlily to come and play next time!
Boy are they cute...and growing so fast. Darling little fur balls.
Shantell, how on earth did I miss this! Where's my little Tigerlily? They are sooooooo sweet!
hugs,
Brenda
I wish I was near from where you live ! I would have fall for one of these cuties ! They are so beautiful ! I would like to find a friend for my little Penny (half angora-half european) who is alone with us humans.
I'm really in love with your little ones !
Thanks for the lovely pictures !
Where's my little Tigerlily?
She and the other little apricot colored kitten were busy terrorizing their mother. They were on the other side of the umbrella literally chewing on her feet. I tried several times to get pictures of them but they were all little furry butts, feet and tails flying around. I tell you, these kittens were little spazettas yesterday.
P.S. Tigerlily has little smudges of orange showing through on her. It looks likes she rubbed up against Skippy and some of her orange fur has rubbed off....like paint.
adorable kittens...
Here are pictures I took this evening of Tigerlily playing peek-a-boo with me...the little cutie pie.
The other kittens were busy having a little snack!!!
Shantell, OMG, she is so cute! What a face! I can't believe you could resist keeping her.
hugs,
Brenda
That's it..... I'm DRIVING all the way across the country to get Tigerlily! She's MINE!!!!!
Sorry, Brenda, I saw her first.... where is that post... I'll prove it! By the time I get there she'll be 8 weeks old and ready to go! Start giving her rides in your car, Shantell, so she'll be used to it! I bet there's a bear show or two along the way I could stop at... then I could write the trip off, sell a few bears, pay my expenses...... yup, got it all planned out!
She is just the sweetest thing.... and with orange patches???? I'm even more in love!
Hey Shantell... I was just noticing a resemblance in Tigerlily's face and Oopa's face (the bear in Shantell's avatar). Hmmm..... I have the bear... must have the kitty!
Dearest Shantell,
You do realize, don't you, how hard it is for me not to jump in my car and drive like a maniac down to your house to scoop up all those kittens and bring them home?!!!! You're absolutely killing me with these pictures. I guess this falls under the heading......be careful what you wish for. They're all adorable!!
Warmest bear hugs,
Aleta and Maxzilla
YIKES!
That picture of Max just cracks me up!!!
You know, Daphne...with the price of gas these days...$3.36/gal (what I paid last week) you could fly cheaper. When we moved to Connecticut in 2000, we flew our cats (2) on the plane with us...in soft carriers...in the cabin. They did fine...we slightly sedated them so they just pretty much slept the whole time. Now...with one of the kittens (who sleeps all the time anyway)...well you get where I'm going...
Now, Aleta dear...you know where to find me!!!
I'd keep them all if I could...they are so sweet. I just adore each one...the little furballs.
Hugs,
Oh so sweet! I would also scoop up one of those sweeties but unfortunately, gas here is $1.21/litre or approx. $4.84/gallon so it would be cheaper to hire a litter carried by 4 hunky guys than it would be to drive!!!!
Cheryl
OK, I'm booking my flight..... when will she be 8 wks? I'll be there that day! Say 6am.... gotta beat Brenda there! Tigerlily can just fly back in my handbag with me.... no problem!
Awwwww I love kitties !!!! they are SO cute !!
Thanks for sharing photos !!!
by the way, Aleta... I love your cat too.
Shantell they are adorable you made me feel emontionally sad. These cuties brought back memories, I'll share my story, remembering mine (Kitty )exactly the same color and that I found in a trash can. 5 years ago.He would sleep with me and grew to be very lovable. He grew and I learned alot from him. I had never had a cat before. But he liked going hunting at night as he got older. One night he went next door to check on thier birds, which they would put inside at night.
They threw him over my fence knowing I had dogs, they got him.My son and I ran as fast as I could to get to the back when we heard a cat scream. My on picked him up and gave him to me. he was still alive. He licked my chick and died in my arms. And I swore never to get attach to a kitty again. I love them though very much as well as my dogs.
You are very lucky if you don't have anyone to hurt them.and many wonderful memories to share  to your beautiful kitten.
Aleta your MAx is beautiful  and surprised me when I was scrolling I expected the kittens  He looks like a very very good guard cat, with that expression he should be in a cat magazine I'll trade him for one of my guard dogs. Just Kidding! He is just beautiful. Mary
Oh Mary,
That is such a terribly sad story. What terrible people to do that...GRRRRRRRRR.
These kittens are actually siblings of Aleta's Max. She adopted Max from me last spring along with his 3 littermates that her son and daughter now have. I was VERY lucky to have found wonderful homes for them with Aleta and her family.
I hope to be equally as lucky with these little bundles of energy and then get their mother in for her "attitude adjustment"...which as of about an hour ago she desperately needs.
I introduced them today to some kitten food...well Missy Skippy thinks it's for HER. She actually pushed them out of the way and ate ALL of it as they were trying to get some for themselves. They also don't understand the litterbox...they just play in it...silly kitties. I just keep tossing them in it and saying...kitties go poo here...not on the floor.
I'm once again not getting ANY bearmaking done!!
Once they've actually poohed, you can place that in the litterbox, and they'll catch on quickly. Skipita!!! That's for your babies to try
They're positively adorable...each one such sweethearts But I must admit, the bright ginger kitty and of course Miss Tigerlily are very eyecatching. I've never seen a dark tabby with orange splashes before ~ gorgeous !! And very unique
Daphne, I'm sure she'd have your two wheatens whipped into shape and grovelling at her little paws in no time
Cheryl....I love your logic there!!! Hmmm..... four hunky guys
Once they've actually poohed, you can place that in the litterbox, and they'll catch on quickly
Funny thing, Debbie...I did JUST that and sprinkled a wee bit of litter in one corner from Skippy's litterbox...they've been a lot more interested in it ever since.  They'll figure it out. I also think Skippy was checking it out last night so maybe she's "helping"...in her weird way.
I've gone and started calling them little names...I try not to do that because it only makes it harder to let them go...I'm in BIG trouble now.
Tigerlily
Marmalade
Scooter - this one's back legs are weaker and he can't quite stand up on them as well as the other...they kind of sprawl out like a younger kittens...doesn't help when his siblings pounce on him all the time either... so he scoots a lot. I've been taking him out by himself and letting him wander a bit.
The Twins -- two kittens that looks so much alike I can hardly tell them apart except one is a crybaby...wants me to pick him up all the time. I haven't quite settle on individual names for them yet.
