So glad to be back home. We got back Sunday afternoon exhausted. Driving from San Francisco to the desert is an 8-hour drive in a car, unless you ignore speed limits. We left Saturday late morning and stoped over night about 3 hours out.

You cannot believe how much stuff Ashley has. No wonder she was overwhelmed and needed her mama. She's always been able to get more stuff into her bedroom than any other kid I know. We used a 17-ft. U-Haul and it was stuffed to the top and all the way back to the door.

Anyway, we're home and now to unpack all that stuff. Thankfully, some will stay packed until she decides what she really wants to do.

So much has happened while I was away...it'll take me a long time to catch up on all the new. I did peak at the Showcase and Bears and Friends and all those bears are all so wonderful.

I think it took 2 trips in mom's mini-van to get all the stuff out of my apartment when I came home form school.  And even with that I still had my car packed full.

Thanks, everyone. I didn't expect such a welcome. I missed all of you, too!

Ashley's promised not to buy anything else this year...yeah, and I believe that! I guess I'm a little bit that way, too, but I've been at it much longer than she has. She's promised me to help clear my clutter so we're "employing" her to help us downsize the clutter and paint and stuff.

I'm really kind of glad because she is persistent...she can get her dad to move where I can't. She's home one day and she drags us to Lowe's and we buy paint...today she painted her bathroom...at this rate, things will get done quickly.
