Am making a teddy for a village craft fair, and would like to give teddy her own toy humpty dumpty. So am looking to making a fairly tiny one.  Anyone ever made an egg shape from felt, and how d'you go about it? Circular shapes with darts in, or triangular(ish) sections?

I would make an egg shaped pattern piece.  Then cut out 2 and sew together adding arms and legs.   Leave a side or bottom open for turning.
Or you can leave the opening in the bac, but I would make a second copy of the egg shapped pattern piece and slipt it down the middle, just remember to add your seam allowance.  If you do it this way then you can sew the arms and legs into the seams with the machine.
