Well we finally got back very late last night and what a great time we had in Las Vegas! WOW WOW WOW !!!  The lights are dazzling and the melting pot of interesting people are a constant source of entertainment.

It was so great to meet our Shelli.  She is nicer and sweeter in person...if that is even possible.  I barely made the TT party as the Rio is so large it seems it took me forever to find my way around.  I was thrilled to meet Mindy, and other TTer's ( I'm so sorry I cannot even think of everyone's names my head is still spinning form this whilrwind trip).  Scott, if you are reading this, you are a sweetheart.  Donna and Diane and Scott, I just love your work and display at IDEX.  I wish I could have taken more things home...hhhmmm maybe if I only played some Roulette.... bear_whistle

The banquet was very exciting and fun. I was honored to meet Terrie and Aleta...everything went by so fast I wish we had more time to "hang out".  Mark and I tought  line dancing including the Samba line dance.  Mindy was great!  We have photos and will post them just as soon as possible.  She also did a Swing Huslte with my husband.....photos soon.  I lost my camera on Sunday and did some serious searching and it finally turned up at a resturaunt at Ceasars Palace so it is being shipped back to me

Vegas is a Great place and I would go back in a heart beat.

Now I have to upack bear_wacko

Scott, I was so busy chatting with you guys, Judi, and Mindy, that I didn't even GET a photo of the big hair lady. (This woman was INCREDIBLE.  She had, like, Beach Blanket Babylon hair, totally out to there.)  I'm waiting for Mindy to post her pics; I know she got an AWESOME one!  Didn't get any closeups of your table, either, because every time I wanted one, someone was standing in front of it, admiring the bears or placing orders.  I think that's a pretty good reason for missing a shot.  Next time point out the specific pieces you want showcased here and I'll be sure to snap them for posting.

It was sooooo great to see you again!  XOXO!

EEEEEEEEEKKKKKK . . . Shelli, did you hear/read about the guy who opened fire on people in the New York-New York casino today?  So glad you weren't there for that bit of terror!!  bear_shocked  bear_shocked  bear_shocked  bear_shocked  bear_shocked  bear_shocked

I did hear about that, because my mom called to scare the bejeebers out of me with the news.  We're taking the kids there later this summer, but NOT staying at NY, NY (although we thought about doing so very seriously.)  Truth is, though, I'm probably just as likely to be gunned down at my local Safeway.  There are people everywhere who are mentally ill, or hold a grudge, or are just plain evil.  I'm not sure any place is "safe" anymore.

I'm also very glad IDEX and all its attendees had cleared out before this happened.  Sad, and scary. bear_sad

Hi Shelly thanks for sharing your pictures they are wonderful.  bear_thumb  bear_flower   I just came back yesterday. And I have been reading and reading all the post from the IDEX Show. All the pictures are wonderful bear_thumb I know I may sound dumb. But I need someone's Help! Soooo! I am going to take advantage of you as TT Advisor. bear_flower  I didn't want to do this, but this I must share.
I have alot of pictures too, But can't seem to share these.   How many can I show in here? Here I am still trying. How do you get all the pictures in here with the paragraphs on the bottom of them or the names of the person on their picture image
Can you please tell me.  Even if you don't tell me about the paragraphs as long as I get only the picture to share.I went to image upload  I think I had a picture ,then to quick post I started writing and when I went to preview I lost everthing when I clicked back on top of my page. Thank You!

Hiya Kiddo (Mary),

This explanation -- http://www.teddy-talk.com/viewtopic.php?id=82 -- is as good as it gets, I think.  Give it a read and let me know if you still have problems after sifting thru the directions.  There are actually TWO WAYS to upload photos here.  The directions, above, specify which is which, and how to do both.

I find it helps me if I print directions like this out, so I don't confuse myself, switching back and forth between windows on my monitor, trying to both read and act at the same time.

In terms of getting words and names onto the images themselves... that can't be done here at the Teddy Talk forum.  To do that, you need a photo editing program -- simple or complex; either will do.  Open your photo in the photo editing program (such as Photoshop, for example, which I use) and then add text there.

Give it a whirl!  And please, don't feel "dumb."  This stuff is really confusing and you are probably the 2,487.5th person to ask this question.  Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration.  But you know what I mean!

IDEX was one big adventure for me.  It was beyond my imagination that I'd be meeting and actually standing beside the wonderful bear artists I'd heard about for so long.  Debi McCarthy-Beckett, Tammy Martin and I represented the Thread Artist Guild and we were overwhelmed with the warm welcome you all extended to us.  Everyone was exceptionally friendly.

Mindy was outstanding! She was everywhere and anywhere - answering questions, making suggestions, providing immeasurable assistance.  (Thanks, Mindy....you are absolutely amazing!)

Thanks, everybody, for making IDEX such a positive experience.
Hugs, Jan
