We have to delay our holidays in UK, beacause Malko's ID card is valid only until early july and he noticed it only yesterday late in the evening.   
He cannot get a new ID card in less than one month.            
He asked for a passport, which should take 10 to 15 days to make.
But we prefered to delay our holidays, as we are not sure his passport can be ready in time.

So finally, we will go to Uk from the 23 to the 30 july (instead of 16 to 23 july)!
Plans for our stay won't change : first and last night in the same B&B in Stratford-Upon-Avon (in the Cotswolds), then three nights in a B1B in Telford (closeby Ironbridge in Shropshire), then two nights in Queensbury (Yorkshire : a member from TT invited us to stay in her home - she is so kind!).
I still have to see with the B&B in Telford if they are okay to change the dates : I hope they will still have a room available. I am going to e-mail them asap.

If some of you want to meet us, let me know!

Sounds like a great holiday, even if it has to be delayed.  Hope everything works out smoothly.

It's now taking months to get a passport here in the U.S. because they are now required to travel into Mexico and Canada.  Everyone is scrambling for a passport at once.

Maybe given all the flooding that's happening around the UK currently, that's not such a bad thing.  I know how frustrating it can be to wait, but by then perhaps the sun will be out, and the floodwaters gone?

Oh, it only can be a great trip!

We will have the opportunity to visit Merrythought teddy bear factory. We can take an appointment to visit it.
there is so much to visit in Ironbridge and its surroundings!

And I will have the opportunity to spend some time with some TTers!

I wish everything was sorted out!

Everything concerning our stay in UK is sorted out though (all B&B had available rooms for that week....pfeww).

BUT we cannot be reimbursed the ferry boat ticket....arrrrrrrgh!        
So I put it for sale on eBay and pray for it to get sold so I can at least been reimburded that way minimum half of the price of the journey.  :pray:  :pray:  :pray:  :pray:  :pray:
It was quite a big amount of money and if I was rich I would be the first to know it! And I would have organised to trip to Australia at least      .

Oh no Sophie   At least you will still get there eventually.  It may have been a good thing coz there were some terrorist threats going on the last couple of days too.  Hopefully it will all have quietened down by then.  :hug:  :hug:

Sorry to hear that you have had to delay your holiday plans Sophie.
Sounds like it is going to be a great time when you get there.
I hope that your plans work out well and that you are able to sell the other ferry boat ticket on ebay.
