At last!! I'm still working on photography skills, but
Meet Lily and her dear old Teddy, Mr. Grizzle:
Lily (10") is an old-fashioned toddler bear made of Mongolian lamb.
Mr. Grizzle (5") is made of dyed sheared mink and 'distressed' to look well-loved.
Lily's dress and hair bow are made of velour; her muslin pinafore and bloomers are trimmed with antique lace (c. 1900).
Mr. Grizzle wears a Victorian standing collar and a black ribbon tie (he's a rather formal old bear).
Both Lily and Mr. Grizzle have proper tails, and both have rare-earth magnets in their front paws for handholding. Pawholding.

Wow Eileen...you DID dress your teddy. Such a little sweetie. You did a great job.
I hope all of these little bears raise a huge bunch of money for those precious children that are being robbed of their childhood.
I got my bear done too...but I just submitted it to Nancy's site.
Good luck to all the auctions.
Nanc......
FANTASTIC Eileen!!!!!! I really love this bear. I have worked with so many real furs but have never seen real lamb fur that is straight. You did a super job...I will be tempted to bid on this auction.
Love the clothes too.;)
Eileen . . . super, super job on these two wonderful bears!! VERY creative!
Eileen,
She's a real sweetie, love that little face, who could resist her???

Denise
eileen very very nice fran
Oooh, what an adorable pairing. Good luck!
Danni
Thanks, girls
These nice comments mean a lot, coming from all you experts! I hope these little bruins bring in some $$ for childhood cancer--its hard to imagine anything much worse than that!
Judi, this mongolian lamb coat is amazing--swirly fur, very soft and silky, and the colors range from very pale cornsilk gold to an almost peachy gold. The only problem is that the leather is very thin and delicate. I lined and sewed and stuffed very, very carefully and tried not to put unnecessary needle holes through it. Lily's pretty solid.
The worst part was distressing Mr. Grizzle--that hurt--but I like the way he came out!
Thanks again, wonderful ones
Eileen
eileen check my post the photo are in fran
Eileen you did a super job. I think these are the first of your bears that I have ever seen ??? Very impressive and such a cute pair. I'm sure they will raise lots of $
What a wonderful pair!
Superb! Really, really superb!
Thanks, Tammy and Helena!
Your comments are very kind!! And very encouraging to a beginner.
Except for two prototypes, both of which show signs of the struggle, these are the first I've really, really finished. I'm loving it!
Eileen
:D:D:D
Thanks, Shelli!!
You have no idea (or maybe you do?) what it means to me to be encouraged by my heroes!!
Shelli, your digital photography lessons were invaluable in the struggle. I still have a lot to master, but I'm learning.
Eileen
I like her! love her little outfit too!
Way to go Eileen! What a sweetheart! Oh and the bear too!! I love her!
Many Hugs Louise

sarah
Thanks, Sarah!
I love the idea of bears benefitting children.
It's also a great honor to be in this company of artists.
The cost of materials (for me) was minimal, since I used vintage coats and fabric from my own stash.
Eileen
They are wonderful, Eileen! Very different, and I love her clothes!:)
Thanks, Terrie!
I couldn't resist dressing her, though (thanks to Nancy Tillberg's elegant pattern) she looks pretty good in her birthday suit, too.
