For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
Hi guys,
I had this idea and maybe it's nuts but who knows. I thought it would be cool to put together a "virtual" Thanksgiving Day Parade showcasing our work! Anyway, if you'd like to participate or read about the details, you can visit my Blog at http://qdpatooties.blogspot.com/2007/08 … g-day.html. If anyone would like to help me sponsor it or donate a prize, I'd be thrilled to pieces.
Anyway, there will be voting at the end (People's Choice for the Top 5) to determine who wins a prize and I will honestly try to send each and every person who enters something (like a certificate or something like that).
Thanks and hope to see you there!!!
P.S. I'm announcing this so early because I wanted people to be able to fit it into their busy schedules!
Hugs,
Lisa
I signed up!! I'm sure hubby won't mind another little project.....at least it's not due until November! Ha!
Warmest bear hugs,

Lisa,
I'm in, too! I was in NYC for 12 years and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was wonderful ;-) It's the start of the Holiday Season. WE could have fun with this

So is it like a challenge? Make a bear representing Thanksgiving and then put it into a holiday photo? Or do we take existing bears and make a T'giving photo?
Yes, it's kind of like a challenge. A little exercise for the mind I guess. I love to think of things to challenge myself and when I think of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, I think of floats, gigantic balloons, entertainment (I think most of the Broadway shows perform during the parade), the Grand Marshall, marching bands, Santa (hey, I always look for him at the end of the parade), and bundled up spectators. So, you can just about create anything because on TV they show it all.
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to put something like this on. I'm going to try to get some really good prizes and talk some people into helping me sponsor so they can give good prizes.
P.S. I called it a "Softie" parade because I wanted to expand it beyond bears and include their buddies and even dolls. So get those wheels turning and thanks so much for all the positive responses! Now I'm really looking forward to it!
