Day four, our last day of the cruise was spent at sea.  This day we coudl really explore more of the ship and all the activities they offered.

DCL-day4-01-1.JPG
We had breakfast outside on the upper deck then Mark took Joey to the Mickey Mouse shaped pool.  I cannot believe I don't have a photo of the pool....out of all the photos I took I missed that one.

Rachel went to a towel origami lesson with my adopted sis Melissa where they learned to make monkey's and elephant's from towels.  It was really cool.

This is Aerial from The Little Mermaid painted on a wall next to some of the elevators around deck 5 I think.

We met Christian, our Cruise Director.  He was really friendly and cute, I must say ( I think  have a thing for bald men bear_laugh bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub  )He would do back flips and one-handed round-offs as he entered the stage before the shows each night. bear_thumb

We met the Captain of the ship, Henry.  He was from Germany.  Right whenit was my turn to meet him and have him sign a art print and Autograph book, Rachel caught up with me just in time!  Everyone was so proper around the captain so laughter broke out when Rachel plunked her arm around his shoulder....so casually.  Then he gave her a high-five!

We danced and did the hokey-pokey with Goofy, Chip and Dale, Donald and some other characters in one of the lounges.

The architecture of the ship was breath-taking.   On day three I don't know if you noticed this but at the Aft of the outer ship Donald Duck is hanging on a rope swing while painting gold details on the ship. That was actually the first thing we saw as we approached the ship on day one.

Here is Rachel with Judy, from Barbados.  She was our personal Hostess at every dinner throughout the cruise.

The best show was saved for the last night.  It was called DREAMS and no photos or video was allowed.  This show won The Emerald Award for the best show on any cruise ship worldwide.  After seeing it , it was not hard to see why.  It is difficult to describe.  It was about a girl who wanted to fly and in order for her to achieve her dream all she needed to do was to believe in herself.  There was acts of song and dance from all the favorite Disney classics which truly brought back good feelings....some included, Aladdin, Lion King, Little Mermaid...and during this one, bubbles floated down over the audience.  During the Beauty and the Beast act, ( remember the song Belle sings in the snow?)...white flecks fluttered down throughout the entire theater...then we realized it was real snow as it melted on our skin.  It was one of those Magic WOW moments only Disney is capable of doing.
Then at the end when the girl can fly a huge screen came up with an evening photo of the Disney Cruise Ship Wonder and Tinkerbelle illuminated it starting at the bow, with thousands of twinkling lights...at the same time as we watched this, the entire theater from front to back in conjunction with the screen, thousands of tiny twinkling lights illuminated the entire theater.  The gasps ad smiles from the audience is something I will always remember.  Disney ended this cruise with more magic. .  They surpassed all our expectations.

Then we were off to dinner at the Parrot Cay, a tropical paradise complete with chirping bird effects.  After dinner all the wait staff were honored by carrying their countries flags through the hall.  They included 58 different countries.

But wait, there's just a bit more.....the farewell....
DCL-day4-31.jpg
The Crusie Director and charatcers said a heart warming farewell and then mingled with the crowd for informal photos and goodbyes..........but that's not the end yet.....

......before they ascended the split staircase they sang one last goodbye song then tons of glitter dropped from the ceiling over all who watched.....the sliver glitter was in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head.  WOW WOW WOW

DCL-day4-39-1.JPG
I was picking glitter out of my clothes and hair for a while  In fact, at the airport the next day I found a Mickey glitter poking out of the top of my bra!  bear_laugh  bear_laugh

Thanks guys.  Karen, what a nice comment about Rachel.  Thank you.
We certainly got a lot out of this experience and I can;t wait ti sit down and relive many of the moments through all the video my husband took.   He video taped  a lot..well over fours hours.

Lynn, sounds like you're in need of a Disney fix!

Chloe, I think Belle was the prettiest of the princess characters.   My all time favorite is Mickey and then Minnie. bear_original

You're never too old for Disney
